That was actually his backstory a few chapters ago. This is his whole sympathetic arc, but I can't blame people for forgetting it.

Hopefully Garou can triumph over these seemingly insurmountable odds. Cuz otherwise he won't be able to take his place as Saitama's greatest enemy.

I love that the heroes aren't slouches. This sequence could easily have been written as a one-sided beatdown where Garou unexpectedly crushes the opposition. But nope, the heroes are actually capable, cool, and work well together. It's a great way to remind us why they're so important in-universe. Garou's more interesting as an underdog anyway.

I can wait to see Gun Gun use his Gun Gun Pistol. Maybe he can team up with Death Gatling to become Gun Gun Gatling.

It's also nice that Gatling gives us the in-universe 'the hero class system is unfair' spiel too.

I love Garou, but Glasses stole the show for me. Glad to see him back.Dark_Tzitzimine posted:Am I the only one thinking that the kid will save Garou? I think he will in some way. Garou mentioned a hostage and the heroes spoke of the rich kid as though they didnt know there was a boy in the shed.

Dark_Tzitzimine posted:Am I the only one thinking that the kid will save Garou? It would take some severe bullshit for him to turn this one around, I think the kid has to come out and give him his opening to get away. Action-wise this may have been the coolest chapter of OPM yet.

the kid will ask for an autograph, distracting everyone and giving Mr.Garou an opening to do "stuff"

The kid will come out and Death Gattling will be all 'Why didn't you kill the kid, 'monster'?' And Garou'll be all like 'Oh uh, no no I'm still so totally super evil you guys, really, I'm a real piece of poo poo trust me' and then everyone'll leave because Garou isn't worth their time because that kid ruined his street cred.

I like that Garou didn't win (yet?), but you know, it seems like the Water Polo Carbonated Fist deflects 98% of projectiles but is 0 for 2 on deflecting punches. 0 for 4 if you count Saitama.

It's bad news. A lot of OPM was a passion project with people brought on by the previous director who had pull with them. If the people who had the passion for the project have left, that's not good. It's bad. Bad news. This is the new director: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=15802 Josuke Higashikata fucked around with this message at 17:07 on Sep 25, 2017 |

I've watched the official sub on Netflix, but is there any official dub? I feel it would be easier to appreciate the visuals that way. Just have Johnny Bosch voice Saitama and we're good.

Dunno where to watch it but sadly, a dub exists.

The OPM dub aired on Toonami and I think there's some kind of deal where shows on Netflix don't air on Toonami and vice versa, but I could be wrong about that.
