1B - Canada has been a valuable ally and honestly, what do we want with a puppet regime on the literal other side of the world? 2A - We have pledged support for national self-determination. Will we so readily turn our back on our own promises? How would anyone ever trust our word again? 3B - because gently caress colonialism you guys 4A - The Pacific States are arguably our closest ally. They want their territory back. They should have it. EDIT: paragon1 is right I made the wrong vote for 4 like a dummy so I fixed it DivineCoffeeBinge fucked around with this message at 17:18 on Sep 24, 2017 |

1b - Let the exiles go home and sort out their own mess, hopefully they've learned a few lessons from when they caused a revolution. 2a - The Irish fought tooth and nail to escape British rule once, and they'd do it again in a heartbeat if they had to. There's no sense setting up trouble behind our lines. 3b - If the Nationalist French won't even support us fully in reconquering the metropole, gently caress 'em. 4a - Oil for the oil god.

BABA. We are staunchly anticolonial. If National France doesn't want France, if they do not want the Entente to liberate their homeland, we should probably rename the alliance.

Groly posted:1: B I decided to load up as France just to check who is trading with them since I figure the Entente intelligence would basically know anyway. Algeria is not trading with France at all, while Mexico is sending 166 oil to France. I'm going to count your vote for question 4 as A since you quoted the rationale of DivineCoffeeBinge who changed to A. Post again or edit your post if you actually do want B.

Vote #1: The British Question Option B: Hand the Territory to Canada Though we are island nations who appreciate naval power, the notion that we would be best able to administer Britain is a clearly ridiculous one. Transfer it to Canada and let them sort it out (and pay the costs of reconstruction). Vote #2: The Irish Question Option A: Maintain Irish Independence Under Japanese Influence Ireland has made no secret whatsoever of their intense desire for independence. Placing them back under the rule of a British monarch would ensure nothing but trouble. Ottawa and London can lodge their protests, Ireland shall have its freedom. Vote #3: The Algerian Question Option B: Reaffirm Japan’s Previous Policy Again, we have little desire to aid colonial powers, but from a more pragmatic perspective, if the French can't even handle a few angry tribesmen using Weltkrieg-era weapons, we're probably better off without them on the front lines anyway. They'd only cock it all up. Vote #4: The Mexican Question Option A: Give the Go Ahead Ideally, I would prefer to see this matter resolved through peaceful means. Whether by plebiscite or simple purchase, it would be much better than attacking. But if those are not in the cards, then we must act to restore the national territory of our North American allies.

Vote #1: The British Question Option B: Hand the Territory to Canada A British government that is not a restoration has little chance of lasting long, it's not worth it. Vote #2: The Irish Question Option A: Maintain Irish Independence Under Japanese Influence Re-establishing British rule in Ireland would likely be even more difficult and prone to civil war and terrorism than puppeting Britain. Let us be the gracious victors who maintained Irish independence. Vote #3: The Algerian Question Option B: Reaffirm Japan’s Previous Policy If we ever WERE to outright replace a government with one of our choosing, It'd be France. The French in Africa are shaky allies and ideologically distant from us. If we're lucky they'll implode. Vote #4: The Mexican Question Option A: Give the Go Ahead We oppose imperialism and if it were 100 years ago perhaps we'd be siding with Mexico. But it is not. Texas is an Anglo dominated region and Mexico has no right to place that population under its control out of jingoistic fervor. Besides, their sale of oil to the Internationale cannot continue.
