WE MIGHT HAVE A WINNER.

Not science studies, but we get focus test reports back, and can ask the customer if their bottom line improved. The direct advertisement, like a pre-roll or commercial break is becoming more and more ignored by 14-34 market, due to adblock, DVR, piracy. The best way to get to everybody is to 1) do things like redbull and make content people actually want to watch with your name on it (like redbull) or 2) get influencers and other content to display your product as part of the content, this is called native advertising since it cannot be ad-blocked, and its unlikely to be skipped since it's integrated into the content you want to see. MTV has been doing native advertising since the early 90s, it's the reason why they blurred out clothing labels because they didn't pay the money to be featured on MTV.

well when a daddy brand and mommy brand love each other very much they get together to do some cross promotion and thats how content is born but then after a few years it turns into a brand orgy because you cant just love one brand at a time and thats why you have 10 siblings ok? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bkX5VkZg8U

Every once in a while instead of an ad youtube asks me "Which of the following movies have you heard of" and sometimes I notice that one will be the same movie as an ad they just showed me like 10 minutes earlier. Sometimes I'm sure I don't notice. So some marketer somewhere is like "Hmm, we ran this ad and 40% of the people who watched it reported never having heard of it, maybe we should make it a bit less subtle..."

content is the ad basically. content marketing owns when its good . but in the end it's all about roas, be it leads, or brand salience/awareness or tom and those sweet cannes trips and fun parties. creatives are hilariously jaded unless they are drunk, then they are fun as gently caress
