And now that I've seen their reddit post, Patreon didn't even shut down their patreon page and actually fought for them a little.

Had no idea PS3 emulation was far enough along anyway. Thanks Atlus for letting me know.

Dragon Quarter came out and kinda killed the series with it's unique take on telling a story. More of the story was revealed each time you started over. And the story was much darker than the earlier entries, at least the first 3. 4 was pretty bleak too.
BoF3 praised the genocide of a peaceful race of dragon people through endless holy war, who didn't try to defend themselves. Genetic devolution of most of the population, some of them becoming horrible monsters, because of the influence of an evil deity overlord. A violent worldwide slavery network. The world was also slowly dying because of what may be the result of another horrible evil buried underground from the second game. It never was explained.

I'm still just supremely disappointed that they're making a sequel to shadow of mordor and ... its just more orcs on orcs again. :effort:

Like why the gently caress aren't you leading an army of ELVES against the orcs or something? gently caress.

You can open lootboxes to get special orcs in your game? Also there is an MGSV-style base invasion mode and you buy boxes for bonuses there

Gear, cosmetics, perks, allies.

Its an RPG if they want to file things off and sell them to you later they easily can. And worse, its randomized gacha loot boxes! Hurray!

Game publishers wishing they were in the casino business apparently.

I can't remember if I discovered the chainsaw kill or not when I had the original on GB. I probably must have, considering how many times I played the poo poo out of it.
The ending always pissed me off, though. They go all the way to Heaven, the thing they've been after the entire game, and then they get to the door and it's all "derp well I guess we'll just go home!"

Did you play the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer? The loot boxes are basically like that except with Mordor stuff. Orcs and swords and poo poo. The devs assure us that the game was balanced as if loot boxes didn't exist and it won't be hurt by their inclusion but I'll believe it when I see it.

Internet Kraken

I wasn't aware the game had any multiplayer component. I thought it was an entirely single-player thing where loot boxes would have no place.

Loot boxes are trash though. Makes all the screaming people did about Horse Armor DLC in Oblivion look quaint.

I don't think its actual real multiplayer... everything I've seen so far is "you attack someone's base and they attack yours" asynchronously. Which is clever stuff but... not exactly multiplayer.

Its gonna get real repetitive too. Probably exists just so they can say "Multiplayer!" and justify loot boxes.
