Only if you have lovely tables.

It's actually not that hard for a tank to have half a track in some woods and have 50% of it obscured by terrain and other models in front of it unless you're playing on barren wastelands or the tank is at the tip of the spearhead with nothing else around. With most rhino chassis and smaller vehicles it's pretty easy to obscure it just with infantry in front of them.

Generally if you're playing rules as written anything but infantry squads of 10 or less has a lot of trouble claiming cover.

This sounds like a terrain problem more than a problem with cover.

They look decent. I think the ability to shoot into melee attackers could prove entertaining, and extra range on most guns isn't bad.

Craftworlds are out sometime after AM but before November.

The November preview in October's WD says "New codexes!"; which presumably means Craftworlds & Nids as they were said to be out before the end of Nov.

When is AM due out? If I get new Warp Spider and Shining Spear models I'll love GW long time.

Also, does anyone know how GW corporate hiring works and how they hire for marketing positions? In the back of my mind, I think it'd be an interesting place to pursue.

That is not exactly how cover works. To get 50% from woods you don't have to have to touch it. But with ruins you have to be entirely within and have 50% obscured. And models don't provide cover for most things.

Rapid firing plasma at 15" is pretty nice. So is 30" range for the effectively Heavy 40 Punisher.

I don't belive any Aspect Warriors are getting new models for a second(sadly!). To me it doesn't feel like nuGW will give them any attention given the current Eldar direction of Wraiths and Ynnead.

If I'm wrong I'll start painting CW Eldar again I guess :v:

You sure? I think ruins is within and not entirely within. To get cover from woods you have to touch it but you can be obscured by anything. Maybe not guardsmen obscuring a russ, but for marines at least they're more than half as tall as a rhino so can 50% obscure rhino chassis tanks.

I don't believe this because it doesn't make much sense. In the last couple of iterations GW made some sensible decisions. Update an old Wraithguard line (2nd ed models), add some new units that go with the meta direction (flyers and giant gently caress-off units - wraithknight) update the jetbikes (2nd ed models), update the Farseer/Warlock jetbike combo (didn't previously have models), etc... Their model decisions made sense even if the pewter/finecast aspects were left to rot a little longer. However, they're at a point now where the meta game hasn't really introduced any unit type that they need to cover. So while they may expand a new unit type, there is a very obvious gap in their model line-up from a design/sales perspective. This includes their character line up which all fall in the aspect warrior category.

The key here is that GW is specifically talking CW Eldar and not Aeldari or whatever bullshit they called the combined forces. I view that cluster as something akin to the Ulthwe Strike Force from the EoT campaign - may not stick around for long. Although a new updated Vyper with rules to join jetbike (or Shining Spear) squads would also be really awesome. Also, I am prepared to be disappointed.

Also, also, gently caress that Ynnead model. It's so overdesigned that it's completely awful and never quite makes the complete journey back to parody but just stays as dog poo poo.

That's what I'm hoping for. I want something like a Vendetta with an Inquisitorial strike team coming in from the skies for MAXIMUM PURGATION. Plus I think some all-black storm troopers and vehicles with giant white Inquisitor symbols would look awesome.

Anyone know a source for white Inquisition transfers?
