There are a lot of people that read this thread so just going to prime you for what is about to happen. If you are reading anything to do with Star Citizen, a chat channel a twitch stream, whatever, whenever something usual happens just type "parp" because when the wheels come off this bandwagon, you want to be there and not miss out, because that's how close we are to the end. SQ42 doesn't exist, these idiots are paying to keep the lights on and there's actually no game coming. Once they figure this out it's all going to end fast.

He knows there is a problem and the ship is sinking, but the chef for the deck 3 cafeteria needs sugar from Spain, not Italy, for his pastry, and the television by the swimming pool is now needing to be adjusted because the list of the ship is causing it to look tilted too much.

I tried rewatching it again to remind myself of the bigger things but the crappy recording and the very subject itself made me red out in a fit of rage. From what I do remember from yesterday, I guessed that Sean Tracy either proposed/contracted the face tracking tech or it was dumped on him (judging from how much he talks about it). Either way, when you read between the lines you can see how much he's struggling with it (or, perhaps more apropos, getting SC to work with it), and the longer it went on the more it cemented just how entirely unjustified the whole gimmick was at this stage of development. Also a part that made me laugh was them talking about how crappy Spore's animation was because it's totally fair to compare your assets to those made by a consumer in a game that's 9 years old when your own assets aren't even remotely close to complete. That's not even mentioning the whole 'dev wearing a shirt that says 'LYING' in bold caps' thing.

He backpaid himself and others for the year they spent working on the project before the kickstarter. I'm sure his backpay was only a fraction of what he pays himself today, though.
