My dentist is part of a community health clinic so they take BP when you come in for a dental visit and mark it on the shared charts with the medical side. My BP is elevated every time I see the dentist but never for my GP. I think I see a pattern. Also on exercise chat: I am overweight and just turned 33 so back in late July/early August I decided to start exercising every morning. Until the fires here started pumping smoke into the air, I was doing a 30 minute jog around the neighborhood but then I switched to the stationary bike (at least I can watch YouTube or Netflix while I'm doing that, otherwise I'd be bored to tears). Since I started, I've lost 10 lbs. I still eat like poo poo, though.

To make a long, long story short, his mother was crazy and he got the short end of the genetic stick, so he viciously attacks anyone who he hasn't known since he was a puppy out of fear. I looked into having someone adopt him, however he will not let anyone get near him. He is increasingly unpredictable, and even after spending several thousand dollars on training, both trainers stated that the best we would be able to do is mitigate his fear aggression and sequester him if we want to have people over. So my options are drop him at a no-kill shelter, where he will live forever because he won't let anyone get near him other than me or my family, and every day of his existence will be spent terrified (plus he only eats if we're nearby. if his bowl is in the kitchen he brings a mouthful of food next to wherever we're sitting, drops it on the floor, then eats it from there) so he'll probably starve, or I can put him down and he can just go to sleep in the arms of one of the only people that he loves and I can move on knowing that he isnt going to hurt anyone ever again. my brother and sister in law have one of his litter mates and he is totally fine, loves people, and isnt afraid of anything much less smiling people who want to pet him.

And I definitely get white coat syndrome - I can take my blood pressure at home and it's just fine (I just checked and it's 110/70), then it'll be something insane like 155/110 at the doctor's office. So, basically, I need to remodel the bathroom - it's pretty much all 1964. Pity, the tub is cast iron, but the enamel is chipped around the drain. I'll see if that can be fixed cost effectively, but pretty much everything else needs to go. The tile has already tried to fall off the wall, and I'm pretty sure there isn't any concrete backer board behind it. FAT32 SHAMER posted:Rascal is probably going to have to be put down Finished up the old house for the photographers today, they'll shoot at 2pm Friday and it'll be listed by midnight Friday. Got really lucky and was able to match the old paint so we only had to touch up rather than repaint the whole place. There's still some things that I need to to before an inspector comes through but we finally got the major stuff done. Buying a house isn't bad, renovating while moving into it isn't terrible but getting a house ready to sell has been stressful as gently caress for me.

He fixed cracks/dings then sprayed the stuff on and it's working great. Other option is bathfitters or similar that can put a custom fit liner over the entire thing. We did this at the wife's house to rent it and again they did a great job. I wonder if it would be cheaper if I bring them the tub. I could do the fitted liner thing, but *I* would know that there was (very) questionable wallboard (or lack thereof) and tile behind it, and I'm not sure I could live with myself.

Her house was built in the 40's and the wood behind the shower surround area was pretty nasty. The bathfitter guys replaced the bad lumber, fixed a leaky faucet and brought everything up to modern code. We knocked all the tile down the day before he arrived and had started removing the rotted wood when he showed up and took over. I don't think it was cheap but they did a really good job and I think they have a pretty good warranty on any work done.

TT, if you want to give training another try you might see if there's a Sit Means Sit franchise in the Detroit area. My wife used to work as a receptionist at the NE Ohio franchise and their specialty was last chance dogs, which they had a very high success rate with. In the two years she worked there the only case she can recall them not succeeding was a rescue dog with diagnosed mental issues. Granted she can't vouch for other franchises but they all receive the same training and use the same techniques, so it might be worth a shot.

So, despite the chintzy window, I had to have it. Never going back to a full tower. ITX for life.
