Sometimes they call me on my business line and I get a kick out of that, trying to get their address so I can send them an invoice for my time. 5 minutes of my time is worth $20 minimum and I can actually prove it. Too bad they always move offices every few days. I managed to get the landlord of the office they were using on them one time.

Don't the night stages have their own unique combat music per stage but you never get to hear it because it always starts with the same notes? Or maybe I'm misremembering and thinking about the stuff you said.

Finished the tutorial level of Ruiner. The aesthetic and soundtrack is on point for me but the gameplay isn't gelling just yet...playing with mouse and keyboard so I might switch to a controller

Kb+m sounds really unintuitive for moving your guys direction around. I'm not even sure how that works. Controls are nice when you start remembering what skills you have equipped and the buttons that do them.

Like you really really don't have to, but it's there for people who enjoy that. Doesn't FF14 pretty much require grouping, though? GW2 is generally more solo friendly and makes cooperating with random folks you encounter a lot easier. It also just released a new expansion which has a lot of cool stuff and shows some learning from the mistakes of the previous expansion (primarily godawful map design). They'll probably add raids again down the line, but there's little reason to do them beyond cosmetic stuff. But at the end of the day there's no overlap between the mmo genre and games that respect the player's time.

Granted they never got to endgame, which people say is better, but that's what people say about basically every MMO. And I don't want to have to spend dozens of hours to reach the actual fun part of a game. They aren't supposed to feel like a second job.
