I like to think this one is the prelude to the one where the tire goes bouncing through a door, into an office, and onto a desk.

Car testing is getting very comprehensive now that we include "Fall off the cliff" test. Only thing they didn't simulate is the ambulance at the bottom.

They didn’t bother to put the handbrake on?

JFairfax posted:They didn’t bother to put the handbrake on? I want to blame it on bad load balance, a severely front-heavy car, and physics, but the shaky camera make it hard to say something other than "they just didn't use the handbrake" Maybe they didn't pull the handbrake all the way/enough?

Maybe don't rely on the handbrake when lifting but strap it down proper

I wouldn't trust friction alone when lifting a car like that. Strap that poo poo down. e: ^

I'll go on Mr Musk's Wild Ride if it means not having to endure another 12+ hour flight.

Long flights are pretty tolerable once you spend enough for a lie-flat bed.

Yeah man stop being poor and buy the ticket that gets you the lie-flat bed inside a private compartment, as well as in-flight shower. It's only $21k one way, what the big deal? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84WIaK3bl_s I got bumped to business class on a Tokyo-Chicago flight once and got a sweet lie-flat seat. Still sucked because those 12 hours were my daytime and I was not the least bit tired.

Oh boy! what a day/week! Our seniour Tech who is an absolute loser couldn't come into work monday because his MOTHER hid his keys due to the tech drinking too much and still being drunk in the morning. Fast forward to today. Warehouse monkey was screwing around running a broom (picture arms out front superman style pushing the broom). It snapped when he snagged a pallet and sliced a palm really loving badly. Hospitalised. While trying to do first aid on him before putting him in the ambo - we got a call the drunkard tore a ligament falling off a ladder. Also new laws came in not long ago and a techs wife had a baby - he cashed in on the 2 weeks parental leave immediately (hey I would too). Just lovely timing. My manager has gone on a 3 week cruise. Owner is MIA AGAIN! What fun times. If any Ausgoons in QLD need a parts guy with mining/energy background need someone, please let me know!

Would suborbital passenger craft be 100% automated? I have to wonder what the occupational health risks would be. Regularly exposure to those forces can’t be good for the human body.

It's going to have to be cheaper than, more reliable than, and with at least as many ports of call as the Concord, which I find unlikely.
