i'm a hot sauce basic bitch but have been trying a lot of new stuff. here's what i think so far using food tasting words... keepers: frank's original - classic wings flavor. pretty much my reference point hot sauce. valentina extra hot - sweetness of cholula but with heat and thickness that is nice if you use hot sauce as a dip. kelly's habanero pepper jelly - great on a burger or a hot dog. hot and sweet with a texture great for spreading, and you can layer as much as you want for more/less heat. won't buy again: cholula - nice smokiness but no heat. i think some sugary ingredient in it must overpower the capsaicin because it has average scoville for mass consumer sauces texas pete - bad frank's. tinny. sriracha - i liked this at first as a dipping sauce, until i found valentina extra hot which phased this out. sriracha is thicker and tastes more like ketchup. next up is iguana xxx habanero

Sriracha is good with pho and yakisoba. Savory noodle dishes I guess.

My brother bought some carolina reapers and he plans on dropping them into hot sauce and boiling it, effectively macing the apartment.

Ranking Tobasco vs Frank's Red Hot is like ranking a reheated 7-Eleven pizza slice to a two day old Red Baron frozen pizza slice. Congrats, your found the American cheese of food additions.

My neighbor grew a Carolina Reaper plant from seed and after it started producing peppers, he cut one up and we went bite for bite with pieces of it. They are holy mother of god hot. I do not recommend.

Are YOU a goon who lives in the UK?? you might just be the person to tell me where I can get up on some of these niche looking badass american hot sauces google "hot sauce (your country)", there's bound to be some sauce nerds where you live who import i bought a handful of sauces recently to try and step up my game from sriracha. i still think sriracha is the most versatile sauce i've tried considering it's relatively flavor neutral. valentina is really nice but mild. should've gone with the black label and the sweetness means it doesn't go with everything. franks' is pretty terrible, just a mess of vinegar. pain is good's garlic/habanero sauce is delicious but the garlic can really overwhelm anything it touches. i got a bottle of gimmick-hot ghost pepper sauce that's way above my tolerance level but it's great for spicing up pasta sauces and such. those are my adventures in hot sauce thanks for reading 💋

thankyou all for your support but it appears that there is far more money in importing small bottles of tasteless scoville chasing poo poo with niche porn dvd names like TOTAL rear end DESTRUCTION and AGENT ORANGE ENEMA than something with a bit more body to it like secret aardvark or BLiS or some of the other great sounding stuff here. I'll get a pal to mail some over.

Salsa is better than hot sauce, nerds. Sriracha is the only good one since it has more texture, a decent taste and isnt so watery or vinegar-y.

franks and tabasco are so vinegar heavy that they destroy more flavor than they add

It's made in Mexico and can be bought just about anywhere in ye olde USA.
