I read something once that red=repub and blue=dem came entirely from the 2000 election. Before that it was more random and had all sorts of colors, but the constant months of coverage after Bush 2 stole the election cemented it as a norm.

Generally not once they're older than maybe 20, and it's not so much "cure" as "instill something like a moral code or at least basic societal rules", so obviously not relevant to Trump at all, but it's possible for someone with the basic broken brain components to A) function something like a normal human and B) not be horrible. Total lack of hardwired empathy is surmountable; sixty years of ingraining the wrong lessons with it is not.

Meh, it's also impossible to know if the sun will come out tomorrow morning without a time machine to travel forward in time to check. There were a bunch of factors that if they changed would have made a different in the election, it was a relatively close election (at least historically). Observing that's impossible to, for sure, know things about the past or future isn't helping anyone.
