I'm working on a construction site of about 3-4k people (oil sands mega project). Lol bunch of people are into what they call a "cloud" or "gifting circle" which is 100% pyramid scheme.

In context : - I like original Trek (though am a bit young for that) - Stark Trek Next Gen was awesome (though some episodes have not aged well) - Deep Space 9 loving rocked, though not rewatched - Star Trek Voyager was the loving worst - I dislike the JJ Abrams films, they suck But new Star Trek is good. First thing I did with the internet is reading gameFAQs guides. Those are also the only English literature I consumed as a non-English speaker for the first two or three years of learning English. I remember liking how a guy describes how to set up a party in The Sims.

It's stupid people who refuse to use their loving brains, begging to be exploited and asking for seconds. They're the problem. Anyone who "believes" that Star Citizen will meet even their lowest of expectations is a loving moron, worthy of scorn. They're almost too pathetic for words, and they're just one variant of a general population ripe for slaughter.

The Titanic posted:In honor of the accomplishment of Universal Combat, I decided to play Universal Combat. OK, I'll bite. The answer to all your problems: 1. Update your drivers. I played the game for SIX HOURS straight yesterday. LIVE. From start to finish. No crashes. No bugs. And I didn't even cover even 50% of the game btw 2. The game manuals are built into the game and in PDF format for printing. For which shortcuts are created post-install. And they're right there in START/3000AD. If not, there is a KB for that. >COMMANDS - SHIIFT+H >MANUAL - ALT+H >TUTORIAL - CTRL+H 3. When a game tells you there's a tutorial, that usually implies, you know, actually READING it. 4. ALT+Q quits the game, and even gives you a pop-up prompt. But you know, had you even given the commands a cursory glance, you'd know that. Basically, my rule of thumb for these games is simple. Never send a boy to do a man's job. And especially not a complete moron who would rather push buttons, than read instructions that say exactly what the loving button does. And that's why people who don't know what a "simulation" is, shouldn't be loving playing them. What do you think this game is? Star Citizen. 10/10 would teach again The Titanic posted:Before anybody attacks me, I want to say: I kept making the games because a ton of people kept buying them. If they weren't selling, I wouldn't be making them. And that's pretty much why I decided to do a visual upgrade of a 2009 game. The underlying tech is just fine; the visuals are aged. So when those who are buying them keep asking if I am going to make another one, and I said no, I felt that the best I could for them was to give them improved visuals. And the learning curve is precisely where it needs to be, and have NO desire to change that. Ironically, this game is precisely why I wrote The July Blog to say that once Chris changed the scope of the game, he killed it. I knew what I was talking about. The sad irony is that the BC/UC games have EVERYTHING he's trying to do - besides the fps inside ships/stations (which LOD already has - and which works just fine). And I didn't have $160M of other people's money to do it. D_Smart fucked around with this message at 12:46 on Oct 1, 2017 |

lol @ Derek blaming users for trying commands that have been common in games since the turn of the century. ESC on a PC game has been shorthand for "bring up the core main menu" and/or "close all open dialogues/menus" for nearly two decades. "but it's a simulation so I can ignore convention, rtfm noob"
