I understood why they drilled it so hard during live action drills of emergency events, it's suuuuuper easy to get into play hero mode where you try to de-escalate or put yourself or your crew in harm's way because the whole reason you're doing this is to help people Sometimes you've just gotta bail on a situation, even if it's a pregnant woman getting beaten on, and let the cops secure the scene because the alternative is literally dying
