i'll say it again, literally the only thing separating xenoblade from other xeno games is that the characters are too blurry for the aesthetic to be immediately recognizable and everyone has an accent

Modern animes and anime games have dot noses - just look at Cold Steel. The Wii probably couldn't do them that fine so everyone has huge schnozzes.

Perhaps the real joke is that XCX feels more inspired by Western works than anime. The sequel baiting stinger at the end feels straight out of one of Marvel's projects.

The characters are mostly cool, though a couple are kind of one-note & the story has been pretty engaging so far. It's pretty long though as I'm roughly halfway through @40-ish hours and completing a lot of the side content. Also there's a pink thug.
