Yeah, this dub is fantastic. If you're going in blind, I'd say you're not missing anything by skipping the sub and going straight for the dub. If the dub wasn't a few weeks behind the sub, I'd be watching it exclusively.

i think that fight is good from a character perspective but imagine if the finale had been todoroki vs uraraka. im glad the development we got tho. I like that it's sort of lampshaded when Midoriya thinks that Todoroki is much more of A Main Character type than he is and probably should have been the one to get One For All. They're also not afraid to put Yaoyorozu front and center in the OP and on the volume cover despite her only having a little mini-arc even in a fight where a much bigger arc is happening. It gets compared a lot to early Naruto for a reason, with everyone getting screentime and feeling fleshed out and it's maybe the one thing I hope the manga keeps with.

Oh, you know who'd be fun as the protagonist? Mina Ashido. Good design and it would be interesting to see how she struggles with such a dangerous power that contrasts with her generally bubbly sort of personality.

Saw the comparisons from that video posted earlier. Normally I would watch something subbed just because I grew up watching Toonami and poo poo, and that stuff was kinda embarrassing. I realize it's been at least two decades since then, so I like how some dubbers are now allowed some liberties to make the script and show flow better, so you don't get really weird awkward sentences.

MHA does have a spin-off manga called Vigilantes, but it's about a group of new characters and it's set a few years before the main series. It's pretty good though, and I hope it gets an OVA or something someday. Mina's power is hard to write around because even just sorta-burning people with weak acid is kinda hosed up so it'd mostly be Mina skating around on it punching people or using it to make people fall down or something. I also liked the Uraraka vs Bakugou fight. Uraraka was insanely outclassed and floating Bakugou wouldn't have really helped IMO. It ended as well as it probably could have because the alternative to her just running out of gas was Bakugou just beating her rotten the old fashioned way.

Yeah that's very much not what that emotion was. She realizes something is incredibly wrong and all she can think to do is stammer out a request. She doesn't even recognize who Shigaraki is due to being right near the entrance during USJ.
