my memory of the type-s episode of boogiepop was better than it is in reality. its still a weird twilight zone premise for an episode, saotome gets an otaku hooked on drugs who becomes increasingly unable to discern the difference between reality and his eroges. maybe one or two scenes too many to establish how he's victimizing rie though, and also the timeskip has always totally deflated the ending for me but especially now coming back to it with more of an understanding of the boogiepop timeline. seems like they had to contort themselves to get it to fit between boogiepop and others and phantom I looked up what the next episode is though and lmao cool ff4 fanart homeless snail fucked around with this message at 04:18 on Oct 4, 2017 |
