i play at much higher res than i record (720p?) so idk. i bet this game looks amazing maxed out. siege is one of the best around in terms of sound design but also the atmosphere/aesthetics are cool if you take the time to look around there's a lot of great little details either way they take up a bunch of memory so i'll be dumping old op health stuff if i come across anything funny or interesting

I max everything out, play at 1440p, stream at 900p60, and capture at 1080p60 at a 30mbps bitrate. So with that in mind your video still looks... smoother. Almost like there's a motion blur pass being applied to it but it's not super aggressive. /shrug YOU DONE GOOD KID.

I think I mentioned it way in the distant past, but Siege servers are (or at least once were), actually hosted by an invisible eleventh client. You used to be able to see this in the tech tests when the servers crashed, that client would leave the game. I imagine one of those clients ended up in both games, or something equally bizarre.

Last time he touched on VOIP was Jan 2016 I believe and back then he determined that they were connecting only your existing party and revealing those ip addresses. The enemy team's ip addresses would not be surfaced. Siege currently uses VIVOX which is a dedicated voip.

oh gee, yet another thing for Jager, just what we needed. It looks pretty cool and all but that's what, half a dozen in the past couple of months? I seriously don't understand the logic of piling on content for a couple of operators all at once while a huge chunk of the others have barely anything; can't the art team time this stuff better? I can't imagine most people buy like six things for one operator in such a short time anyway, there must be huge diminishing returns on these releases.

i'd guess the main reason we don't see stuff for him is because his headgear is a bit more complicated than other ops? though they could straight up copy and tweak an existing splinter cell model while still using the existing hitbox so idk he doesn't seem overplayed and is fun enough to show some love to. if anything that should have been his elite skin  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YutaZy7OUss

I can't speak to the technical aspects of it, but I have been killed umpteenth times whenever a team from SEA or whatever shows up with 350 ping, by dying before someone is even shown on my screen. Just reinstalled this and I'm pretty sure I didn't have my 1070 the last time I played and there's a new season and everything. Are there any recommended graphical settings I should worry about or anything like that? Anything that needs to be low or high?

Well I still get killed by people I can see but now I blame it on netcode.

I don't have AO or AA on either, just run some benchmarks so your avg is where you monitor refresh rate is e - also, do a benchmark, and then go into your Nvidia control panel and turn on prefer maximum performance and any other options you want on and bench again. Sometimes turning on prefer performance leads to worse performance because it boosts and then might hit a thermal limit and then underclock, ping ponging and giving you inconsistent frames. As one of those scumbags who has high ping, what confused me for a long time that might be confusing him too is that you have to actually be doing the peeking to get the peeker's advantage. If you try holding angles, you get the inverse happening, and they get the same advantage on you instead. It still works massively to the person with bad ping's advantage since they can know to account for it and Always Be Peeking, but if you think of it like some flat bonus to reaction time then you're gonna hit a lot of frustrating situations.
