I'd like to see a Mario brawler where you play as Bowser going around just absolutely loving poo poo up. Unlocking/upgrading skills like fire breath, shell spin, and butt stomp.

It doesn't do start of the level like hotline, but it also doesn't do current-wave-of-the-room or current-form-of-the-boss. So it doesn't take away the challenge, but it takes away the frustration.

Especially Popeye where he would basically murder people. I have pretty vivid memories of being four and scared by a Popeye episode where a live action boy punches a bully and launches him through a second story plate glass window. Have you seen the Disney cartoons about the Third Reich? The jokey one with Donald Duck was actually the least disturbing one, there was one that showed the process of intellectual indoctrination that transformed a happy little child into a brutal goose-stepping infantryman, it was loving warped
