DISCLAIMER: don't do this! You know the semi-transparent shiny metallic plastic wrappers that like Poptarts come in? There's just enough metal in the plastic film to cause the radio waves generated by the magnetron to transfer the energy in such a way as to create a lightning storm inside the microwave oven that's pretty cool as the microwaves utterly destroy the plastic wrapper. I never got that thing in arrested development where they talk about microwaving a ding dong in it’s foil. first of all, is microwaving a hostess ding dong snack cake even a thing that people do? second, I don’t even ever remember them coming in foil.
