Actually tbh I was overly harsh on the GoT cast (I am a big fan, read all the books and have watched the whole series). But because of its popularity some of its cast are getting roles they have no business getting based on their ability. (I am going to use character names because lazy).

Sansa is particularly bad and she should never have got the X-Men role. Jon is also poor although I would say he is the one actor who has improved the most during the show. Gillen is bad 90% of the time.

The actor's who are best in the show were established before it: Tyrion, Cersei (although she was brutally bad in Season 1), and my personal favourite Jamie Lannister.

The best actor in it who I had never seen before is probably Theon.

Is it really fair to judge Sansa's actress in X-Men: Apocalypse when she was given barely anything to actually do?

Theon is easily one of the best actors on the show and frankly everyone else in the running has about a decade or more of experience on him so I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're not that special Charles Dance

Because he's great in everything!

Ratner must have gone out of his way to express "Angel is a dull and boring character in the comics which we want to stay as true to as possible".
Foster probably only signed up because he thought he would be playing Beak... and now I'm mad that didn't happen.

It's odd but I can't think of anyone to play Shazam.

I'm usually pretty good at this sort of thing too. There's gotta be an unknown somewhere with the bulk, the chops and the presence to pull it off though. Worked for Chris Reeves and it may actually work better that way.

Remember the 90's X-men cartoon? Remember how Gambit was part of the main cast and it was all just bad accents and bravado with Saturday Morning Cartoon levels of sexual harassment? Fox is hoping you do. Because at that time he was probably the second most popular male on that team. Not really saying much since his competition was Wolverine (#1 obviously) Cyclops (Boring apple polisher) and Beast (Locked in prison for a season and a half). Nevermind that there aren't any really memorable Gambit stories from the comics. But Fox owns the rights and "god dammit there must be some blood in this stone now that Wolverine is over, otherwise why did we pay so much money for it 20 years ago?"

The seagull is essential.
One of the great things about Gambit, and I'm not saying that this applies to everyone who dislikes Gambit, is that he instantly reveals how some insecure men get so jealous/angry/threatened by a man who is sexy, knows it, and is utterly lusted after by so many people.

He's so loving hot. You know you can't change him and his heart belongs to another but this just makes you want him more. That, and the Drakkar Noir cloud that I presume is permanently surrounding him.
