I imagine there is. There probably are also college courses that look into it. Probably not just about The Simpsons but I wouldn't be surprised if it's discussed a lot in media or sociology classes.

I remember years ago, walking through a bookstore and seeing all of these "psychology" books. The Psychology of The Legend of Zelda The Psychology of Final Fantasy The Psychology of Harry Potter and so on and so on. I'm sure if I look now, I can find The Psychology of Rick and Morty/Game of Thrones/Whatever is popular now.
