Of all the Chapos why invite Felix :tinfoil: unless you're hoping he'll start doing Kushner voice or pledging allegiance to the Lion of Damascus so you can say "we tried but you just can't have a real conversation with these irony bros."

i'm guessing the invite was like "we'd like to have someone from chapo on" and felix just volunteered first. But I have no evidence of that

That was actually good because it was mostly just Tim talking and god drat I could listen to him talk forever.

Citations Needed is a really good newcomer and if you're not turned off by Mark Ames, Radio War Nerd is extremely good. I know Felix has talked about wanting to get Dolan on Chapo, but it hasn't worked out so far.

On top of those, Jacobin Radio is really good for an NPR style leftist podcast, not sure if The Dollop is considered leftist (even though Dave is a socialist) but its a really good american history podcast, and of course who can forget about our cumbois over at cumtown?

This is what fascinates me most in existence: the peculiar necessity of imagining what is, in fact, real.

I like Swampside Chats as well, it's similar in structure to the Discourse Collective, but with better audio quality and less extremely online content.

Just because Liquor's dead, doesn't mean you can just roll this bitch all over town with "The Freedoms."
Jeremy Scahill's Intercepted podcast is generally good. Matt Taibbi has a relatively new one called The TARFU Report which is good, but does the Chapo thing where you need a Patreon subscription for every other episode. Richard Wolff's Economic Update is good as well but not as showy as the other two, just straight current event information examined through an economic lens for the first half and usually an interview for the second.

None of them are really comedy podcasts, but Intercepted and TARFU occasionally delve into it. TARFU is worth listening purely for the segment Taibbi had at the end of the last episode where Alex Pareene had to guess whether the poetry he was reading was written by Mao Tse-Tung or Jewel.

There's no way they could get Dolan on technologically judging by how bad Matt sounded calling in. They could probably get Ames on pretty easily though

For the record, the biggest thing russia did wrong in recent history was not accompanying glasnost with the nuremberg trials redux. Most things that are horribly wrong with russia today can be traced to the complete lack of consequences for the crimes committed by the people in the declassified state documents.
