^^^^Tier 6 tanks plus some new land and air vehicles. All new stuff has a gold ribbon when you look in the tech trees. War bonds got re-designed but I don't understand how they work now.free hubcaps posted:apparently the machinegun armed versions of the d.371 are going to be the reserve fighters for France which seems kind of weird given their limited production, I was sure we'd see the d.500/510 to start the dewoitine tree or maybe the bleriot-SPAD s510. The D.510 had a hispano mounted through the propeller. There's no way it would be a reserve tier plane.

They were produced in larger numbers than the d.37s which afaik were barely used by the armee de l'air. I'm thrilled to see the french and the d.371 is a nice looking plane that I'm sure will be fun to fly, it just seems like an odd choice is all. E: some unrelated french plane porn, this is the only divebomber of theirs I know of (LN.401) off the top of my head so fingers crossed it'll be in game. It used its retractable landing gear as airbrakes!

The problem is that the stars also reset, so if you rolled poor special missions you might be kinda boned. I think the end result of the change is that premium vehicles require about the same amount of effort to unlock, but everything else, including bushes, is much more accessible, since they are only three stars per pop and the warbond part of the cost will just accumulate over time anyway.

I get the feeling this is not working as intended, but you can kill almost every tank on the tier 6 test drive using T-64A HE shells by shooting their tracks. The fragments go right through the side hull and wreck the inside; the MBT-70, Leopard, and Chieftain Mk.10 went up with one shot, the M60A1 RISE took two but the first was crippling. The Centurion Mk.10 is the only one I couldn't get it to work on, but hitting the turret under the gun did it. Not much reason to actually try this in combat most of the time, since the regular shells are so powerful and high velocity, but could be useful in an urban setting. Poke just enough that you can see their track, fire, kill.

Yeah it really mystifies me that people don't do this by default and it's bad enough that I feel like the local points should just start pre-captured to stop one lone M-18 giving his entire team a disadvantage. Are they expecting anyone to actually play tier 6 planes? Hardly anyone plays tier 5, or even top end tier 4. Repair costs are stupid high, they need to dramatically cut repair costs across the board for everything after tier 2. I have (nearly (2)) all the planes, and I've done maybe 10 9.0 matches, ever.

I will. Don't even care if its only against bots in ec, but regular air sim matches with rooms full of players are popular too. Never had an issue with repair costs. Tier 4 is super popular in sim, too. Arcade jets is also pretty popular.

There are no queues in sim unless you're playing tanks. Join a room with enough slots for your squad and kill players until they all get mad and leave, and then camp bots. I play with up to 8 pilots sometimes in discord, although rarely more than 4 for jet tier. Arcade jet queue was never bad when I used to play that, either, but its been awhile. I never play RB because it's poo poo. If they add century fighters and mig-19/21's I'll be playing them all the time, in fact that's all I want right now other than french planes.

No-lifed the day away running tasks and special tasks and I want to see the life of the people who get free vehicles this way. The new method and style works and is kinder to players as long as you settle for hunting bushes, that is what I went for and I got my one and only bush, it's large enough to cover the front an M22 or ASU-57 so that was the best possible outcome.

trip report from botes.... It's fun and interesting however, i think it has too much going on. from guns not shooting where you aim because of the Fire Control systems, to easily running aground and having too many weapon groups to use, not know which ones to use in what engagements (beyond the obvious AA for planes and big guns\ torps for destroyers) some botes have Depth charges so i think subs might become a thing. Fletchers are really cool botes

Three weapon groups (prim/sec/AA) and you cannot engage all at the same time, the AI is absolutely poo poo now in AA duties, manual AA is incredibly weak against planes, and the aiming system got screwed.
