That was my fear. Guy at league says things are dire in the balance area. That list is too "fair". quote:Our game a few weeks ago got real silly when he destroyed my whole list other than my Nym and he had only lost like 3-4 shields total and Nym soloed his whole list of Fenn, Talonbane, and Guri... I was motivated to go to league for the first time in two months but this is really killing the mojo. It's not that I care about winning all the time; being destroyed to a ship without a chance isn't fun.

That's the equivalent of showing up to a tourney with Soontir and a 65-point bid. Sure, it *can* win a game here and there, if it is flown perfectly against someone who flies badly, but it's probably not gonna.

So, last night at local game night, I did run a practice of my Boba, Guri, Inaldra list. Lesson learned, fly them together.. Lesson two, if you force Miranda to bump with the syck, you can easily get boba and guri to bring the r1 pain train. Also, pulsed ray shield makes amazing bait. Seriously. Fire it, they predict where my cheap syck is going, and use the other two to attack them when they pursue. Corran was an easy mop up after. Lesson 3, Palp aces are loving terrible , and I should gun for palp shuttle first.

A friend and I are planning on playing a fun fluff game. The idea being lots of dogfighting and piles of ships. Here's what I'm looking at: 100 points Darth Vader [TIE/x1, Swarm Leader, Sensor Jammer] (32) Black Squadron Pilot [Crack Shot] (15) x 2 Obsidian Squadron Pilot (13) x 2 Academy Pilot (12) I think he's playing a stripped down A,X, and Y-wing list, maybe with turrets on Y-Wings. I mainly just want Vader and a pile of TIEs. Perfect points efficiency isn't really the goal.

For the longest time my only ship were two z-95s, yt-2400, rebel aces and the core. That's it. But man, what a time to be alive. Bombs were a joke, TLT a distant vision, who gave a gently caress about Palp? Nah, for me, it was all about them fat pancakes, and Phantoms who decloaked at PS

My first ship(s) outside of a core set were the Phantom and the Decimator IIRC. Or maybe Imperial Aces, I'm not quite sure which was first, I got Imp Aces in the SA Secret Santa 2 years back.

I was trying to find a video that I saw of a car crashing through a game store, but searching on google I found 4 different ones before I found the one I was thinking about. http://whnt.com/2017/01/07/the-deep-comic-games-opens-back-up-after-vehicle-crashed-into-the-building/ That car went deeeeeep. There was a comics store in the Phoenix area that was open for 25 years, did brisk online business, and had 4 locations. They had a car crash into their flagship store and the fire suppression system flooded it. I have my first tourney Saturday, pretty much using leftovers from my friend's collection, so no Stressbot, etc. Wes Janson (29) Veteran Instincts (1) BB-8 (2) Integrated Astromech (0) Keyan Farlander (29) Opportunist (4) Fire-Control System (2) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Biggs Darklighter (25) R4-D6 (1) Integrated Astromech (0) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder The HLC is a huge investment, but with Biggs the first joust should go very well. Any suggestions for improvement? Without the HLC I probably could fit in Luke or PS8 Poe instead of Biggs. I like Keyan, but what's a decent budget version of him?

Not sure about glitterstim and cruise missiles. Could change to harpoon and drop stim for the free inertial dampeners or just go with cruise and dampeners and be at 98. Advice? I used this awhile back in a casual game and it was a lot of fun. Taking 3 stress to give Norra her 3 dice, plus a blank from Finn, plus adding a focus from the target lock while having a focus and rerolls from rage, then using Cassian and the two inspiring recruits to remove all 3 stress next round was bloody fun.
