al-azad posted:How is the pointer in the menu screen? You can calibrate the pointer and set the height of the sensor bar. I picked up a third party sensor (which is probably dirt cheap now) that lets you adjust the IR so I can play up close or far. It's fine! I updated the sensitivity but once I realised that being too close is actually a problem and sitting back is better it's been fine. I hooked the Wii up to the TV beside my PC rather than the TV in the main room so I was sitting as close as I'd sit to the PC. I've pushed my chair back and as long as I wear my glasses everything is working fine now!

It's dumb to argue if something is or isn't art because a meaningless designation like that shouldn't affect your enjoyment of it or any meaning you find in it. That said ET for the Atari was less creatively bankrupt than that poo poo Rupi Kaur is lauded for

Great perfect beautiful wonderful. Zelda got stuck in the geometry in Four Swords Adventure and I have to repeat the entire 45 minute level to actually reach the end but thank god for youtube because I'm done with this poo poo. Anyone who says bullshit like "well actually XYZ is the worst Zelda because it wasn't 100% what I wanted" hasn't played this piece of garbage! There is not a single clever idea in here. It was all cobbled together by the rejected ideas of past games. And I understand it was meant for multiplayer but I can't imagine how this game would actually be fun with four given each level is about as long as a traditional Zelda dungeon but it's bereft of actual puzzles. It's largely scavenger hunts for hidden items and large arenas filled with monsters. You know, the things you like in Zelda games! If I bought this when new I would've sworn off this series for loving ever.

There are two good puzzles in the game. One involves "escorting" a covered platform and firing arrows from it which I kind of feel is a super obscure reference to Dragon Slayer 2. And then you find out in literally the last level you can pick people up from the shadow world which you use to carry a person over a pit. That's it, there are no traps or projectiles to dodge. This mechanic is used once. Once. But they probably used the super clever "push these grey blocks but they only go in one direction" every screen.

both the ds crystal chronicles games were kind of disappointing. they handled like poo poo and their bad attempt to force characterization into crystal chronicles, the game about punching poo poo with your best friends, just made things wose. their multiplayer was a pain to make work because it was IR/RF, had spotty connectivity when it did, and they didn't even include netplay like why u gonna make a crystal chronicles game on systems with online capabilities, go to all the trouble of making it cross-compatible between the DS and the Wii... and then make it local play only what the fuuuuuuuuck Fur20 fucked around with this message at 02:05 on Oct 15, 2017 |
