A full year without content being added to something that the director claims is functioning like a live service already. Some would have the guile to say this is normal and that you must not know about game development

The thing that strikes me most about the last 6 months development of Roberts wretched little game is that, if you didn't know anything else about the project, you'd assume that it was a Planetside/Battlefront style combined arms shooter. They've been hyping their planetary tech for so long now, the fact that its supposed to be a deep space sim seems somewhat forgotten. Even the 'fly your chariot seamlessly from space to the surface' (which is something I still legit find impressive in any game) was barely mentioned.

Super detailed Sims are only fun when you can learn something that exists in real life. It's the main reason of DCS. You learn how to operate these flying machines to the poiny where you would even feel comfortablr IRL. It's also the reason why that space DCS indie game failed. You are just pushing random buttons.

Something something horsecock. Your all wrong about the BDSSE because Mr. Smart Dr. Dr. still has his hand in the game. My sources show that he has nearly $14,800 in SC.

Things are really picking up now that CIG has all the code figured out - they can just punch out systems easily. For example, in 3.0, when you approach for a landing, the player becomes the planet.

The point I was making is that TheAgent exchange with his buddy, had nothing to do with croberts or the opinion he voiced in the article about the game being in early access. He never said SC was going into early access. Quite on the contrary. 09/14/17, Derek Smart article: http://dereksmart.com/forums/reply/5785/ quote:In game development, Early Access is only a descriptor used to indicate that a game is available to those who want to pay to get in early. Steam spearheaded this movement and they have specific rules for it. It boils down to one simple thing. Backing an early access game means that you are prepared to lose the money as there is a chance that the product will never be completed. 09/09/2017, Derek Smart article: http://dereksmart.com/forums/reply/5764/ quote:So basically, he’s gone from a $160m (as of now) crowd-funded project with a Nov 2014 delivery date, to pre-Alpha, and now right into an early access release instead, thus removing any future release dates. 08/29/17 (not 09/11 btw), Chris Roberts interview: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-08-29-star-citizen-would-be-the-worst-scam-in-the-world quote:The term beta in terms of Star Citizen - with 3.0 the game is moving into a phase akin to Early Access. It'll build and grow from there, and then you could say 'well, it's not really Early Access anymore'. The price will probably go up a little bit and it will have much more of the features and content going on. 08/13/17, TheAgent sources: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3800238&pagenumber=1758&perpage=40#post475330182 quote:Going back to my first point, I think we need to man up.
