I had a rent a u-haul a few months back and I actually specifically thought about 11'8" and took the long way to my destination to be safe.

MMA scoring/penalties are really bad at punishing illegal blows. Landing a good nut shot or eye poke essentially wins you the fight eventually a lot of the time. Jon Jones used to do this constantly.

The real reason that the city doesn't change the bridge structure is that the municipal official responsible for that decision is a goon and she posts in this thread.

That city should start selling merchandise and have their own high quality cameras setup to shame drivers. We especially need one looking straight into the cab, so we can see the faces of the drivers.

Some local bridge-related schadenfreude: the county is actually rebuilding a bridge over the interstate in my town, and to do this without interrupting traffic they've actually built a second bridge to the side of the first so traffic can flow across it while they're working on rebuilding the original. Just east of the bridge, there's a little shopping center that includes the main grocery store for most of the area. There's no stoplight or anything at the exit to the parking lot, and no acceleration lane; you just have to wait until the road is clear and then pull out. Before the bridge work, this just meant sitting in your car for a little while. But the way the landscaping and the new temporary bridge are laid out, you can't actually see if someone's coming from that direction anymore. The number of accidents at that intersection has apparently tripled in the last month or two. (I watched someone nearly get hit there this morning.) (Also, I'm told that at least one person, not paying attention, has not realized that the road shifted and plowed into the barriers around the construction site.)

It's called an "inside leg kick" where you aim to strike the inside thigh of your opponent. That's usually a tender place and landing several kicks there can limit someone's mobility. The issue is, as that video shows, a dude's dick is also really close to that area and it just takes him moving a little bit to put it right in the way.

Is it significant enough that you couldn't just lower the under-bridge road and make it way less likely for trucks to smash into it? Lol. No. There's a GIGANTIC sign that turns on that says OVERHEIGHT MUST TURN They went from small signs years ago that told trucks about the height of the bridge (and trucks rammed into the bridge), to signs and a giant a bar will rip open trucks (reduced impacts on the railroad crossing), to installing expensive sensors that light up a massive sign that tells idiots to turn off. People still ram trucks into the crash bar. We get to enjoy it in from two angles, now in HD. The train tracks aren't going anywhere 'cause it's a unbelievable amount of money to raise the tracks and there's zero chance of that ever happening. They can't lower the road because there's a sewer main under it and the town isn't going to spend the millions to re-route something that doesn't affect them at all. Just sit back, subscribe, and enjoy something that's never going to change: the railroad put up a giant can-opener to protect the bridge and the city put up a sensors that trigger a massive sign telling dipshits to turn off and it barely cut down on accidents at all. There are two HD cameras watching the 11'8" bridge: there's nothing that could be improved.

I always figured it was one of those targets that was considered a calculated risk (and one that was seemingly high enough that few chose to pursue it as a tactic). You aim for that and there's a 20% chance you nut your target and are disqualified. Its your choice of you want to roll those dice.

Basically at this point the only way you would get that far is to think “oh, that must be someone else and not me” which means that no matter what, people will still crash. What amazes me is that the guy just straight up leaves the scene of the accident. Is the truck still drivable at that point?
