Just played a QM game against a team made up of: Malthael, Lucio, Garrosh, Stukov, Artanis. I would be hard pressed to counter that in draft, matching against it in QM was loving awful. Impossible to kill, absurd amounts of displacement, and not even short on damage because Malth is just marking everyone. Fuuuuuck that.

What was your team comp? I feel like this team has zero initiate. Stukov heals are hell broken though

The initation is Artanis swaps and Garrosh pulls aided by Lucio speed.

My pet hate is Artanis players flailing away on cooldown missing every swap then once or twice per game landing one purely by chance and being rewarded with a free kill (or team wipe). Also, there's something about the animation that makes Artanis look like the dumbest idiot hero in the game when he misses that combo.

After a bunch of games with junkrat im gonna rate him a 2/5. His gimmick or whatever is fun but his damage numbers just suck way too much. Hes like Lunara in that most of his dmg is just meaningless splash. His sustain is pretty crap since his autoattack range is basically Tychus levels of short and his healthpool is so low you'll never want to even get that close. His lvl 4 Q talent either needs to be tuned way up or it needs to cap at something reasonable and have it reduce the cooldown of frag to like 50% or something. The only other talents to reduce it are all the way at 16 and compete with a better talent already. Most of his talents are actually pretty bleh. I guess you can maybe justify the extra bouncing one but its extremely map dependent. I dont see him being that great in anything other than loving around vs AI. Maybe you pick him on towers or cursed to harass the obj if you have a team that can pick up the slack but other than that yeah...pretty fun but lousy.

He does insane sustained damage at 16 if the enemy clumps up though with his Q CDR. If you hit two enemies with each shot you can just spam forever.

I got matched with Ana as Tracer this morning and the other assassin on our team was Illidan.

We pulled through somehow and our poor Ana got gently caress all votes at the end. I would probably have had a breakdown halfway through that game in her shoes.

The sleep dart quest is the really rough part. It's so important to stack and I never get the delay on that thing right. Then I have to wait a whole 13 seconds until it's up again.

If I'm forced to support I try to use Brightwing. I hate clicking the heal button every ten seconds, it's boring, plus I can actually soak/macro without having people bitch at me.

And BW's art and voice lines are hilarious (especially when she gets attacked).

Rehgar's obviously great, I just have found that he doesn't have enough sustain for the low level of play I'm at. If we have Zarya/Tyrande/Tassadar already I definitely consider it.

how about:

Stukov.

Homeboy's DPS is frightening, your healing is fantastic (almost mini-ancestral level if you take that quest talent), and you can make some great plays with your hand-anus.

also he has the best voiceline in the entire game

Re: Junkrat damage talk. I think it's going to take some time to get a firm idea of how effective he actually is overall as an assassin. His dps against a single enemy, or even a couple, isn't amazing, but he fills certain niches nobody else does.

First off he can wave-clear like crazy from a completely safe distance, he's the one assassin that I would feel totally comfortable with playing while soloing against any spec in the game. Not only can he burst down minions easily, if you arc his grenade right you can also be consistently poking the opposing champion, even while they're hiding behind their wave. And if you're laning against a melee champ they literally can't touch your towers because if they get close you can mine them over the gate and you just got yourself a free pick.

When it comes to teamfights he functions more like Nazeebo, doing consistent damage to the enemy team almost imperceptibly, and he can use his mine to displace dangerous targets or throw them back into your team. He's not going to be mvp in teamfights but he is capable of doing some significant damage and overall just being a huge annoyance.

He also is really good at hitting fleeing enemies, or hitting low hp enemies trying to hide under their towers since he can just lob grenades over their gate or chase them down with rocket ride (which, holy poo poo, has to be one of the best ults in this entire game).

I really like Junkrat, he is a very interesting merge between a specialist and an assassin. Once people have more time with him I think he'll find his spot.

Uther, Malfurion, and Reghar on the other hand are all about prioritizing and positioning.

It just feels that way because his Q can hit the loving moon, especially with the range talent. Fear no Sgt. Hammer.

For those of you who think Hunkrats numbers are low, try out Taste for Explosions + Endless Nades.

Also Puckish Scamp is the best most fun talent in the game, nuke backlines erry day.

It's late in the game for it but it also lets you suddenly build a bunch of stacks for his grenade quest in a go, wait for a teamfight, activate it and spam your grenades into the thickest part of the clusterfuck and listen to the dings rack up.

Not surprising. Double support double warrior vs single support auriel without a good battery (Auriel needs someone who can continuously damage, not heroes who blow their load and then stand around useless for 12 seconds) and no warrior. You probably just outlasted them in every team fight. I bet their scrubathur went monstrosity for maximum throw.

Late game after you get the frag cdr, you can fire 4 grenades at a fleeing enemy, get the speed boost from tricky shuffle, fire 4 more grenades, get the speed boost....That's when he starts to feel like an assassin.

Your first mistake is taking the Sleep Dart quest. Sleep is really cool and exceptionally powerful in a 1v1, but you're way better off taking one of the other two quests at 1. The Dose quest is good for general DPS and the burst healing it makes possible is useful, whereas the Grenade quest is good because the Grenade itself is good.

The sleep dart quest is outrageously good not because of sleep darts but for the increased range and piercing on healing darts.
