Excellent to hear. Was worried you'd broken a control arm or something stupidly expensive to fix/trip-ruining since we hadn't heard back after the excitement.

I need to write a trip report for that and the nc500 etc lol I’m just a lazy twat. Just bodywork damage and wheel and have a weird steering click over centre now. Will fix it when it stops raining 😭

Not that they are exactly *common* on there but they do come up for auction in Japan, 1992 and lower and you too can drop the hammer on your very own chaser! I have this 1985 Rugger (longer wheelbase version of the Daihatsu Rocky, turbo diesel) to arrive here within the week and this 1983 Acty I posted about earlier and tonight I'm putting in a bid on this a 1990 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon, supercharged 1G-GZE I6 full-sized wagon made in the vein of Lexus before Lexus was a thing.

1G? Supercharged? Never knew that was a thing. 1G needs all the help it can get though, they put them in the poverty spec narrow body mk3 Supras. Those cars look super weird.

We have a thread talking about these very pressing import questions https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3829078 But to answer your question: Not on the auctions in the last 3 months, no. There are 3 I can easily find currently on lots, only one with a price listed. 1969, 1973, and 1976. Nothing newer, and the only price listed is 1,260,000 yen (about $11,200) for the 69 one. I don't know rotary at all so I might have just sent you ones that don't have 13bs

That one was a Turbo Diesel as well and might come back up on the auction block again, people in Japan will flip cars around for 100 bucks or so at a time. Maybe you should rent something in Nevada and 'live' there MasonF posted:Sweet Chaser. Wish we got them in the US. To quote you one more time, there is a 1991 Toyota Chaser Avante G coming up for auction right now, it is very much possible to get one of these in the US if ~u put your mind~ to it. Once in a lifetime sort of car -- such a hoot to daily. Barely averaging 12 MPG over two tanks thus far.

They don't seem to call it out in the description - I'm going by pictures, and the engine displacement (1146cc is usually a 12A). The '73 has no pictures, and show 576cc, which is goofy. probably supposed to be 1576cc, which would be a 4-banger, of course.

SRT-4 is gettin' real old. Bought an '00 Grand Cherokee on the cheap to use as a DD while I tinker with the Neon. Jeep got prematurely totaled. Despite my disdain for car notes I decided to try the adulting thing. Paid half, financed the other so at least my note is laughably small. '15 one owner lease with 20k miles. SE with the 2.0 EcoBoost. Downshifts are a little sluggish but that's inner "because racecar I will justify anything" child speaking. Otherwise that motor is a treat. I'll probably swap out the crappy Sync 2.whatever for a proper Android Auto unit but that's it. The thought of getting a new '17 model was tempting but I do not like the 2017 facelift at all and after a few test drives of other CUV's in the same space I came back to the Escape if only for the motor.

I was desperate to convince the poo tank people if we could only develop some kind of tow train system I could definitely avoid the delivery cost and tow the triple tank setup home myself. As usual my very valid points of view were ultimately ignored. Boo the world IMHO.
