Also, I feel like Ferrari is kind of screwed. They're going to have to compete directly with the Renault customers next year, not just hope Lewis occasionally melts down or a track doesn't suit Mercedes.

That's not going to happen lol, you just have to get one thats been hosed with then Lego together the hotter engine and suspension. When I bought the Scirocco it was lowered by somebody taking a hacksaw to the stock springs lmbo.

Drivers aren't contracted to a team, but win prize money like the teams do. Every race is a le mans style run-to-the-car start. You can get in whatever car you want. There's still separate driver and constructor championships. I don't know how you'd pick the field of drivers.
