I don't get why they're waiting until Friday to release the new AC. like at the very least they could take advantage of Nintendo insisting on releasing games on Friday and get a bit of a jump on them but NOPE gotta go for a Friday release too because ???

There's nothing that isn't half-assed about SH4, the best thing about it was the trailer. That said, a decade of even worst sequels has re-contextualised it in my head a bit.

There are too many video games on the switch that KCB & I want, too many games that will end up costing way too much money. How much is the average switch game? 60? Off the top of my head, we want: Breath of the Wild Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Splatoon 2 ARMS Snipperclips Puyo Puyo Tetris Mario Odyssey Mario Rabbids Blaster Master Zero Golf Story That plus a switch itself is gonna cost so much fuckin money, no way we can afford it right off the bat so gonna have to do some budgeting to figure out which games to get and when oh boy

The first half isn't too bad, though unkillable ghosts and downgrading to a limited inventory Resi style still sucked. But the second half is just the same areas as first but in reverse order, also it's an escort missions where you're constantly getting chased by a guy with a gun and the ending depends on the condition of the person you're escorting. Which is usually very bad.

Henry Townsend is not a very interesting protagonist and he has nothing to do with the plot besides just sort of... being a guy in an apartment. All the plot stuff is about other people and he's just there to hit things with a golf club e: also the escort mission stuff, yeah. that stuff blows

silent hill 4 is such a disappointment because it has so many good ideas but pairs them with the worst execution possible having your safe space slowly become more and more haunted is cool, having a bunch of random events that can trigger there is cool, and the water prison is legit one of my all time favorite SH environments, and the soundtrack as noted is typical Akira Yamaoka so incredible but then actually PLAYING the game is garbage. tiny inventory, unkillable ghosts that damage you just from being near them, the back half being the same as the front half but this time you escort a useless npc and if you go through a door while the npc is more than three feet away from you, she doesn't go through the door with you, the list goes on and on it's a really bad game that could have been good

I assume it'll work like the Catwoman stuff in Arkham City and be less of a 'preorder bonus' and more a 'buying the game new bonus' but it's Ubisoft so who knows.

I'm actually kinda glad Observer glitches out every couple of hours like clockwork because it helps me stick to healthy play schedules. So far I've: -Fallen out of the map -Gotten a puzzle object stuck in a door -Lost the ability to input controls (had to relaunch) -Fallen out of the map a second time Extra bonus points for making the environment so deliberately weird and glitchy that for every one of those I spend a few moments wondering if it was supposed to happen

if a pre order bonus is actually good its usually good in such a way that makes the game worse imo. an item that's better than anything else you're going to see for a couple hours or w/e and its like, congrats you hosed up the progression curve in your game by giving me this broken item
