Gettin' ready for an early Halloween party. The scars on my forehead were transfers. The rest of the ugly business is sadly me. I went as a scary surgeon. The trick or treating was made bearable by the wife, who mixed me up some run and ginger with red food colouring,  Happy Halloween!

I needed to have a root canal done. A local place was recommended, I walked into the small house/office and was greeted by two elderly shihtzus. Turns out they're rescues, and now they live in the dentist's office and will sit with you while the dentist works. They walk up next to the chair and wait for you to pick them up by the harness. As soon as the chair leans back, it's like a cue and this little ol' girl does the spin-in-circle-lay-down thing dogs do on your lap or between your shins. It's impossibly cute, all of it. She has two teeth, one on top, one on the bottom. The rest were rotted out when she was found. She can also walk on her hind legs down the hallway, but when I tried to get video of it, she refused to do it. She knows.   It was surprisingly calming. I mean, I don't generally get bothered by dental work to begin with (besides the bills) but it was just relaxing having this adorable thing just chill with me while they worked. My dog is way too much of a wackjob to do that sort of thing.
