In Training posted:I got in trouble for playing Jak II because there a part like 30 minutes in where Daxter gets drunk and starts staring at somebody's boobs and they zoom in and linger on her cleavage for a bit right when my mom walked past the tv and I had to return it. Wasted my rental for the weekend. gently caress you naughty dog!

Jak 2 is aesthetically ugly but Naughty Dog has masterful animation.

Is TLoU actually good? I played it for like two or three hours and other than the time early on when Ellie sucker-kicks some police dude giving Joel a chance to kill 'em both during a cutscene I kind of hated it. I got to some sideways office building and it was really clear that the game wanted me to follow some very specific path to avoid drawing aggro from a bunch of clickers or whatever except it was pretty bad at signposting that path so it was like a half hour of walking down the same set of rooms and getting murdered. It felt like Uncharted but if Drake was only armed with a stick and a child.

The gameplay is really fun and lends itself to replaying so you can get things absolutely perfect, and the way difficulty levels work is also fantastic. I just now watched a trailer for the sequel and it told me nothing, but I'm sure it will be good

The Last of Us multiplayer was really fuckin' good, Naughty Dog should just have leaned into "the death of single-player story games" and made like a TLoU PUBG or something

glam rock hamhock posted:Oh gently caress off No really, TLoU's multiplayer was more like Battle Royale than PUBG itself, in that it actually encouraged hide-and-seek stealth gameplay and making traps for people etc. If they do something crazy like put a mode in TLoU2's multi that has 30+ players, it would probably be real loving awesome.

I liked what I played of the multiplayer at launch (for the same reasons as you) but maybe a year ago when I was going for the platinum on the PS4 version everyone was using weird super strong DLC shotguns or something and it was kind of terrible
