"Carbons? Purge? What are you talking about?!"

Is TLoU actually good? I played it for like two or three hours and other than the time early on when Ellie sucker-kicks some police dude giving Joel a chance to kill 'em both during a cutscene I kind of hated it. I got to some sideways office building and it was really clear that the game wanted me to follow some very specific path to avoid drawing aggro from a bunch of clickers or whatever except it was pretty bad at signposting that path so it was like a half hour of walking down the same set of rooms and getting murdered. It felt like Uncharted but if Drake was only armed with a stick and a child.

I think it's very good, not just as a story. The gameplay is really fun and lends itself to replaying so you can get things absolutely perfect, and the way difficulty levels work is also fantastic.

I just now watched a trailer for the sequel and it told me nothing, but I'm sure it will be good

what game/character popularized the term "murder hobo"? was it TLoU or is that just the pinnacle of the type?

Pretty sure I first heard it in WoW in the WotLK era, used to describe entry level raiders in clown gear who are in a raid for the first time.

No really, TLoU's multiplayer was more like Battle Royale than PUBG itself, in that it actually encouraged hide-and-seek stealth gameplay and making traps for people etc. If they do something crazy like put a mode in TLoU2's multi that has 30+ players, it would probably be real loving awesome.

I liked what I played of the multiplayer at launch (for the same reasons as you) but maybe a year ago when I was going for the platinum on the PS4 version everyone was using weird super strong DLC shotguns or something and it was kind of terrible
