its running noted near-virus DRM Denuvo alongside VMProtect which isn't even built for games; making the estimated impact 30-40% lol. i feel sorry for devs who had to do so much crunch to make the game run faster for that poo poo to get slapped on top

https://twitter.com/zerosum0x0/status/925486850399019009 how many fuckups can you spot * probably just hashing the file as a signature * flagging a legitimate driver as malware just because malware is using it to get kernel code exec * these AV companies should probably flag eachothers drivers, as there's infinite admin->kernel bugs in those too

i thought we were way past the point of maxing out cpus being able to cause damage. isn't there the world of thermal throttling to happen long before anything cooks?

It boggles my mind that anyone still buys assassin creed games the first one? Amazing. Unlike anything else released at the time. The second one? Better than the first in every way though the annoyances are starting to show (yes, please, playing as the extremely lame people in modern days was fun, lets keep doing this) The third? Ok the formula has officially gotten old now I'm not going to buy any more of these game what are they up to now, like, 7 games?

1: felt more like a proof of concept than a complete game but had enough new ideas and did them well enough to be decent 2: the complete game made after the proof of concept got approved. night and day better, probably one of the most improved sequels ever brotherhood: complete game polished and with some good new stuff added revelations: shine is wearing off, core ideas are no longer new and exciting 3: major misstep, broke a lot of stuff that worked black flag: good pirating game with unfortunate mandatory AC segments unity: trainwreck, bad game full of technical issues (although it did have the best bug) syndicate: supposedly good origins: good again I guess, changes up the formula a lot
