What were realistic Georgia expectations before the season? I thought you guys looked like you were building in the right direction last year, but I wasn't expecting a full on championship run from you guys in the near future. Even after you shut us out at Neyland I just figured that was more about us sucking than anything else until you kept winning.

Lots of room for improvement but Anyway, some choice teams to chuckle at: Tennessee is at 102, Florida at 96, and fan favorite Nebraska at 93 (). They're real bad

Personally I’d leave Clemson out, but I think the committee would probably dump Oklahoma instead. Oklahoma in this situation would have a win over OSU which is one of the best wins in the country, as well as over Oklahoma State and TCU and the Big 12 championship. Loss would be to a good ISU team. No way they get left out.

TCU will most likely lose again and Oklahoma easily could as well. PSU won't win their conference and is effectively out of the PO race. Really good wins, not the best when season ends. The best regular season win right now is Oklahoma going into the Shoe and beating Urban to death with a wagon wheel. By the end of the season, the only other win over a top 5 team will be by UGA. I don't think OSU is a better team than ND which is why I said before CCG week the best win would be UGA's. When CCG week ends ND will almost certainly jump the OSU/UW loser and potentially the UGA/Bama loser depending on the outcome which means their max poll potential, barring regular season fuckery, is #3 (SEC winner, B10 winner, ND). Again, OU's win over presumed #2 OSU is up for debate, I just see ND as a better team than OSU so I give the nod to UGA but you can easily make an opposing argument for Oklahoma. The top 5 in the polls is likely set from here till the regular season ends. Crotch Bat fucked around with this message at 03:52 on Nov 1, 2017 |

Improvement in all facets of the game, particularly with the offense when it was announced Chubb and Michel were coming back. Special teams were atrocious last year, that was a huge concern. Kirby knows defense, expected improvement there, but not to this level. Thought we would lose at least one between the away game @ UT, or MSU at home. I always expect a loss to Florida, its a self defense mechanism. I thought we had a shot to make it to Atlanta, but was resigned to the fact that Bama would railroad us if we made it When the news broke today UGA was #1, my initial reaction was "Hell yes, #1...awesome" but quickly turned to "gently caress, we do not handle being center stage worth a poo poo". Either way, its been a fun ride so far.

I absolutely wasn't predicting a team from the SEC East to be ranked #1 in the first CFP rankings. I figured our rivalry would still be a little competitive for a few more years, but then we took 8 steps back and the UGA juggernaut team showed up a few years early.
