You will never need Eos's (very good) healing abilities outside of current savage raids and extreme trials. The 50% uptime 3% attack speed boost is still worth taking Selene for in literally all other PVE content.

intelligent use of eos' abilities will get you a few extra broils and probably one extra energy drain per minute even in easy content, though admittedly it's pretty much a wash and selene is less effort to use

Riding the GCD for the entirety of the speed buff nets everyone about one free GCD. You can figure out if it's worth it from there.

Nobody in speed running has looked too hard into Selene as I understood it. You gain less than a gcd per haste but you probably only need half of those GCDs across the raid to be completed to make up for any lost healer GCDs from lack of whispering dawn or embrace (especially AST dps gcds). This thinking basically underpins the whole pet swap to Selene mid fight theorycrafting. Nobody really wants to fuss with it though cause hasting the raid can get real dumb when TA windows are involved. On one hand you might maximize usage under windows, on the other you might have gained enough gcds that your best abilities slide out from the window. And this is setting aside interruptions to uptime. You get a similar conversation when you start talking about AST and arrow. As a random aside I don't think people realize how much the speedrunning community has kind of just died for the moment or been uninterested in this tier. I'm finally starting to get i330 gear on my MNK and have just started to look at melding some materia. All of the pieces seem to be +Skill Speed and +Determination, which left me with like 750 Crit... I take it just slotting +40 Crits into everything that will take them isn't the worst idea? And do Direct Hit for gear that actually Crit built in?

Once you get past all of the Trio attacks in Phase 3 of Ultimate Bahamut, you need to kill both Twintania and Nael on the field at the same time, which also involves placing Liquid Hells in places that are away from Neurolinks so that hatches can be solved properly. Taking too long makes you die to Bahamut's teraflare probably. I imagine it's probably apt to call that phase 4.

Any crit gear actually wants +skill speed, once you have a certain amount you'll be able to go under 2.00 GCD at GL3.

Going through the scholar quests legit makes me feel  whenever i go through Wanderer's Palace now. I mean it's a pretty poo poo dungeon,but i'm going through a poo poo dungeon killing ACTUAL PEOPLE.Well, at least for the tonberries, don't know about the other stuff in there.

They get half of their HP back along with Damage Up, and I'm pretty sure Twin uses triple-Generate like in the 5th trio attack. That's just their first mechanic too, I would be unsurprised if Nael's combo attacks and both of their tankswaps also return. There's a lot of potential for shenanigans here.
