I've never been able to make any magic with that stuff, it's p overrated imho

since you've got some on hand, indian spices make everything better, and maybe put something like diced raw onion in to contrast the texture. Stewing it like a chili could probably work, with cumin and tomato base and p much whatever else is on hand

I dunno if you could do faux congee, if it would dissolve or not, but you could try...add a bunch of water and just let it cook until it's super soft and dissolved and then slowly pour in a couple eggs whisked with parm and basil and hot sauce while it boils so they cook on contact

Followed a recipe for a thing that turned out pretty meh, and mostly flavorless.

Gonna try out this suggestion next time quinoa's in the rotation, gotta use it up.

quinoa is fine it just needs tons of salt. afaik it isn't hyped for taste but for being a decently complete source of protein/other nutrients in a non-bean source (and also being different and exotic to american sensibilities circa-whenever)

some really high quality poo poo has a distinct nuttiness about it but dunno if that will actually carry over to the final product

david lynch really did have a workable answer, and a bizarre vid. just pretend you're making a pilaf.

whatever it is, it's probably salvageable by stuffing it into something or stewing it with a bunch of spices and peppers etc. If it's bland and dull a splash of some vinegar, particularly balsamic, could pep it up a bit as well

or just spread it out on a pan and bake it until it becomes either serviceable crackers or an unambiguous failure

well yeah i know whats going on with my life, nothing but being a shitposter in this thread and trying to maintain a baseline of functionality

but there exist people who dont have sadbrains who might conceivably be able to just go out and enjoy life instead of constantly denying themselves for a retirement that may never come
