Awesome, thanks guys. I'm still working with RB3 / RB2 / Beatles and a bunch of DLC, but I think I have a lot of those. Can you still buy the equipment needed to hook up an Alesis brain to a PS4 if I decide to pick up RB4?

Yeah, PS4 is way easier than the Xbone IIRC. All you need is the same adapter used for the PS3, so if you already have it you should be fine

All my other stuff is on 360 sadly, so no DLC or anything carrying over. I'll hunt on ebay for a ps3/4 adapter though.

Some picks from the Hendrix packs that I find super enjoyable are Manic Depression, Little Wing, Highway Chile, Hey Joe, Watchtower and Little Miss Lover. The right kind of challenging without descending into 'If 6 was 9' lunacy.

I've got a PS3 midi adapter and a copy of RB4 on the way, so I'll finally be able to get some of the DLC that's come out since RB2 days lol. Sucks that I can't transfer all of my current DLC and imports, but I guess it's easy enough to fire up RB3 when I want to play that stuff.

Once I started taking drum lessons I figured I was pretty well done with music video games, but drat DropMix looks fun. It looks like it's running on a tablet, is the game just the card board and the cards themselves? I assume they plan to have "DLC" in the form of additional card packs?

If the vocals from Body Movin' are included this might become a must-buy for me...

They're going over the RB4 upcoming stuff on twitch

https://go.twitch.tv/harmonix

stuff mentioned so far:

different pitch arrows for harmonies
a sort of server browser for online play sessions, not quite matchmaking but the ability to add filters (like own over 200 DLC tracks) and join active sessions
Season 3 is going to be "Decades of Rock" so I guess 50/60s this first week? the final week is going to be terrible

upcoming DLC:
Foghat - Slow Ride (4 minute version, not the neverending boring 8 minute one)
Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated (rewind)
Wild Cherry - Play that Funky Music
Joan Jett + the Blackhearts - Bad Reputation (rewind)
Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun

C3 Author
Hi guys! It's been a while since I posted here so maybe not a lot of people will remember me but I have something cool that needs your help. :) We at C3 have started a new initiative that will begin late November: C3thon. It's a 30 day customs marathon with the goal of raising as much money as we can for a good cause. Over the 30 days leading up to Christmas, 40 C3 authors will tag each other in and out to release content every 8 hours every day from Friday, November 24th to Sunday, December 24th.

Here is the kicker: for every song you download that you would have downloaded even if you had to pay for it, we ask you to donate 90 cents to the cause that we have chosen, the Make-a-Wish foundation. Make-a-Wish helps children and kids fight against life threatening diseases by granting their wishes, giving them the strength and the will to overcome their illnesses. This is a fully fledged honor system: if you can donate we’re infinitely grateful, and if you can’t you are free to download as many songs as you want. Every single donation though will help us reach a bigger goal and help people who need our support.

The following is extremely important: money goes directly to the Make-a-Wish foundation without us putting a finger on it. Donations are collected by the foundation itself using the RallyBound platform. This is crucial to us: we have chosen Make-a-Wish specifically because they have their own collection system and we are not involved in any way in that part of the process. Make-a-Wish is an excellent foundation, rated very highly on Charity Navigator if you want to check it.

I'm not posting the link here in case it's forbidden but we have a full post on this on our forums if you want to check it out. :) We are really thrilled about this and we hope some of you will get on board: our authors have chosen songs they are passionate about but most importantly that they think will be able to net the Make-a-Wish foundation as much money as possible.

Thanks for your time and I hope some of our content will make you donate. ;)
