Viewbotting will push you up in the ranking, since channels are sorted by number of viewers. Meaning you'll then get real people willing to check you out if you've got 300+ people watching instead of 3. To be banned for it, you pretty much have to admit to doing it like this guy did (showed the control panel on stream). Since it's possible someone else could be using viewbots to try and get you banned, etc.

Viewbotting is to push your channel higher up on the twitch page for that game, which results in more actual viewers. Twitch has gotten good at not paying out ad revenue for viewbots but it can be very hard to actually detect them, it's a constant battle. Most of them get banned because they accidentally reveal it, like Blasting cap did.

its so you appear at the top of the channel list and get more viewers that way. also when deciding if they want to partner you (give you a sub button) twitch will check how many viewers you get on average.

I am liking most of what GGG is doing with Harbinger additions going forward, but as someone who was planning on doing only ssf next league, I am a little disappointed in the Orbs of Binding not staying in. It only really matters for the first character though. I've been burning all my ssf luck on my practice char this week... had two 5 links by the end of act6 and got a tabula to drop in act9. ed trickster gets nuts once you get swift killer though, this feels so drat good right now.

You also have a surprisingly large number of players that are unaware of the 3rd party trade sites and get scammed in trade chat. They can't really link to a 3rd party site in the client (they could but it's a bad idea). They can easily link to this in game, or even open it in an in game in a window which makes it far easier for the average person to use.

yeah, the trade specific ignore list is super dope for ignore price fixers and whatnot. e. some of the real specific search fields look nice too, being able to look up by map iiq/iir/packsize, seems like it's got all the psuedo mods at the top of the stat filter list too. A site can be better sometimes, there is a reason many MMOs are now allowing you to view and even use their AH from the web. Maybe I don't want to leave the game running but if something I really want is posted that I have set to auto alert I'll log in. If I am logged in the game people can message me to buy my crap. If I want to just watch TV that's going to interrupt me. I have a bookmark folder with upgrades that right now are very specific and nothing is listed. I just middle click the folder it opens all the live searches and tells me if something is posted. Easy. Sure you could replicate that feature with saved searched in game, but then you are in game.

The main reasons for this are visibility and accessibility for all players. They are supporting this in every language they support the game in. If you can't see why this is a huge deal then you're an imbecile or a very new player.
