The other I don't see mentioned at all. Inuyashiki literally has a thread, it's in the OP and everything dude. Also it's talked about plenty in various anime forums from what I've seen, and many people were looking forward to the anime adaptation for some time now.

Amazon isn't necessarily a guaruntee that nobody will talk about a given show, yeah. Abyss dominated the discourse that I saw just last season, and I saw a lot of talk about Scum's Wish too. Doesn't help, though, give you that.

i think shows like made in abyss have enough momentum to carry through being amazon-exclusive but it's kind of hilarious how much umaru-chan r being on anime strike has choked out a show that had a decently popular first season a while back, it's absolutely a death sentence for any show that can't catch people's eye as much as the most popular stuff of the season

lol I'm pretty sure the reaction to umaru would be the same if it was on CR.

yeah fune wo amu definitely just kinda disappeared, especially since most people literally couldn't watch it even with an amazon subscription

Yeah, fune wo amu. I'll agree with you about the Kabenari hype, but i don't feel like MiA was a big thing before the anime came along. I think most ADTRW posters never even heard of it until the PVs came out a couple of seasons ago. It very much felt like word of mouth appeal.

honestly even ballroom seems like it's struggling but idk how much to attribute to amazon between all the problems that show has

Even if you do go to amazon's service it's a chore to find stuff through browsing rather than a straight up search by title, so shows are even less likely to be seen by random people. Basically it's going to suck when amazon has a monopoly on everything in a few years.

Amazon is frustrating because you have to fuckin search for anime strike on the site to even find what they’ve got, so how are people supposed to stumble on it

If anyone is curious and/or is still watching the show, this week (ep 05) is when Just Because starts unraveling at the seams as foretold by those earlier reports of production woes.
