This seems perfectly sensible! My neighbor picked up a brand new one early in the summer for a pittance and he loves the thing. It makes fun whizpop sounds when he drives by my house even at low speeds. They are really good looking little cars that seem to be really engaging when driven. His family affectionately refers to the car as "Zippy". I think that when my beater Mazda6 finally dies I will get a used Fiesta ST for winter driving.

The current plan is to sell the MS6 and probably the Miata for the ST and then in the fall of next year I will pick up a dedicated winter car. Probably an XJ Cherokee or if gas prices are insane again I'll find an Escort with as little rust as possible.

RE: gas prices, I may be in a good position having just bought a mostly-stock 4AC-powered AE86 coupe, then?

edit: is there an AE86 thread, by chance? I'd like to avoid other forums if possible, for the usual reasons.

revcounter gets its lovin from the alternator.
P38s/DIIs onward used the actual CPS through a data bus.
There should be a few different fuses pertaining to engine management.
Coils should be powered with key turned to ignition.

Have you actually sat in or drove a Fiesta yet? I was seriously thinking of buying a new Ecoboost Fiesta until I sat in the car and realized how small it actually is. And if you're going by just the front seats your Miata will seem bigger in comparison lol.

I'm tiny dude! 5'8" and I just lost 42 (and counting) pounds. My good buddy has one and I've driven the poo poo out of it and I adore the car. I've wanted a hot hatch in this size since the Mk1 Focus RS debuted and I still remember how bummed I was that it never came to the US.

And I love my Miata but I don't think I need to keep it in the long run. If it came down to it I'd keep the MS6 if possible but I just want to start simplifying my life a bit. I've been selling off tons of my nerd poo poo this year, time to do the same for the car stuff.

The Fiesta is also an excellent example of how a small FWD hatch should drive, which helps a lot.

Jesus, I don't feel so bad about the VA wait times now.

Powershift

The problem is a lot of the specialists also run their own private clinics, and use absurd wait times to upsell their private services.

And they're all fighting the government to be allowed to open private GP clinics.

The government doesn't do anything about it because they all make over $100k a year and are fine paying $500 to jump to the front of the line.

it's free, and can be functional, but for the most part it's only as good as the humans running it and those humans SUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Fermented Tinal

If this patient were in a life or death situation, her wait time would be significantly shorter. Likely months, possibly weeks... after they're dead.

The system does prioritize things, understanding what those priorities are though is an impossible task.

E: Now, if you live in Ottawa and are an elected official, one of their friends, or just plain old loaded, the wait times are basically non-existant.

$433 here. :laffo: The subsidy still helps quite a bit though.

My doctor won't be taking my current insurance next year either, but that's okay since my plan was going up by $150/mo. :stonk: Found a better plan; there's actually a hospital within 20 miles that accepts it! (only 5 miles away instead of 22).
