Man the iPhone feels REALLY good in the hand. There is some considerable weight to it that I like, much like the 4 or 5. Piece of poo poo is saying preparing for update for the last 10 minutes. What the gently caress.

I will be getting an iPhone X in a few weeks as I move from a 5S. What is he best way to transfer from one phone to another? It is a Verizon phone and we do not use the iCloud storage set up. Without iCloud storage can I still do the iCloud transfer? Do I have to plug it in my computer for iTunes? I have not plugged my phone into a computer for at least a year so if this is the case, I will have to update iTunes which takes forever and I should start now. What is the preferred QI wireless charger pads (both cheap and expensive) that can be used with the IPhone?

Got my iPhone X. Waited about 30 mins in an appointment line then took about an hour to setup and trade in my old phone. Liking it so far. Awful App looks good on the X, FYI.

Overall, I like my X. But when I put it side by side with my iPhone 6 Plus, it's not as bright and honestly, I can't tell the difference in the screen when it comes to safari, apps. There is a difference in video in favor of the X, but again, the actual video is smaller than the Plus screen. Holy poo poo it's fast though.

Yeah it took me like 45min to get past the AT&T activation, and probably an hour after that to actually activate the phone.

The blue tint when you even slightly tilt in any direction is a little disappointing  I have true tone on, and if you turn the phone in any direction, it looks like you're turning true tone off. Makes me wonder if it true tone was introduced specifically to try to lessen the blue tint on OLED. But even with true tone off, the display gets noticeably "colder" when you tilt. Oh well, not a huge deal. Everything else is great.

I don't mind the notch but the Flickr app has a black top bar and the notch just vanishes into it and looks amazing.

I finally got mine after going to the FedEx depot which was annoying. Activation took a call to Verizon which was a bit surprising, but it's been smooth sailing. A bit disappointing that they shipped it with an old version of iOS and I had to set it up twice (obviously skipped most of everything the first time through). Phone is super nice for sure.

apple user interface guidelines have never been hard rules it's just how they prefer you do things you can get away with breaking them. anyone with a custom GUI or who uses one of those floating action buttons that is typical of modern Android, is breaking iOS HIG apps with FABs (completely against iOS HIG) have literally won Apple design awards

I can’t honestly say I noticed the difference when watching videos on the QHD display of the S7 edge, the 1080p display of the LG V20, and the whatever-the-gently caress resolution display of my 8. I guess maybe if I was watching full res 20mbit files I might have, but does anyone really watch anything other than streaming video with the lovely streaming video bitrates that come with it on their phones?

If you are on Sprint and it asks you for your PIN it might actually be asking you for the last 4 of your SSN, so maybe try that if your PIN doesn't work. This is something I learned after my phone failed to activate for 3 hours  .

Good reviews and for $15 it wouldn't suck if it died in year. It has a USB cable but no power adapter but I have a million of those around the house now.
