Crossposting this because I figured it would be of interest to this thread as well:

So I wanted to make my case that we are seeing play out at present with the November 4th meme is a natural human behavior that has been occurring in online communities for some time. (There have been some objections to my using my experiences in the Otherkin community as a reference to current events.) So I went and tracked down some videos that will illustrate this point nicely.

These videos are from one of the early pioneers of conspiracy media and basically the direct prototype of the modern magaCHUD- a Canadian gentlemen by the name of Sean Kennedy. (There used to be a Goontv channel of some sort that broadcast these episodes back in the day.) Sean is a great example of a person with a Cluster-B personality disorder that has cast himself as a Narrativist leader. Sean labeled himself "The loving Man" and tried to create a pseudo-religious group of followers he called "wogs". Sean supported this effort extensively with a variety of media productions, of which Patrolling is (for many reasons) by far the best.

Sean believed in a coming war between wogs and the "corpoliticals" and most of Patrolling is actually designed to be a how-to instructional guide for preparing for and fighting the coming rebellion. While I could spend all day dissecting the entire series I want to highlight two specific things here.

In this first video Sean is ~~trespassing~~investigating a possible source of occult activity in his area. Note the combination of tacticlol gear, self-contradictory beliefs that are composed of a mishmash of popular media, and the conviction that he must conduct paramilitary operations against a vaguely defined Enemy.

This entire second episode is devoted to "Operation Ghost Dance", Sean Kennedy's own personal attempt to trigger some sort of world changing event. Mr "I am a wog and wogs are perfectly logical beings that evaluate everything objectively and without emotional attachment" Sean Kennedy wanders around asking various experts about his idea to get a bunch of people to all do drugs and meditate at the same time while listening to a mixtape he made of ideas he got from a fake MKULTRA manual. And by "consulting experts" I mean asking local pagan shop owners and friends of his who look like they work at comic book stores. (Hint, they actually did.) This video shows the constant compulsion to make the world change in a big dramatic way (and to set a date for the change) that extremist echobox's inevitably create.

As far as I can tell, the organizing alt-right has split into two "factions" I guess.

On one side, with Hunter Wallace & League of the South, Matthew Heimbach with Traditionalist Worker Party, National Socialist Movement, (what's left of) Vanguard America.

On the other side, and what you see above, is associated with Richard Spencer & Identity Evropa, and Patriot Front; which is going for a more focused American-looking fascism. Hence the American flags and torches in front of the George Washington statue. These are some of the same guys who pulled security for Spencer in Gainesville, and the same group which popped off with the gun after the speech.

You might question the purpose of staging a midnight photo-op which nobody sees before scurrying away in a hurry, but these factions are also competing online with each other for leadership and for the same pool of recruits. To be perfectly honest, the best way to analyze these guys is through the same lens as feuding radical Islamist groups. They're going to put out photos and video for other Nazis to see.

They've switched up the uniform. Blue jeans instead of khakis. It's dark but it looks like they're all wearing Thomas' shirt now ... maybe. Dark blue with a white line in the center. For someone still in his teens he's got quite a hold on a group of dudes in their late-20s/30s.

curious why Heimbach isnt joining with spencer and the out and proud nazis instead of the closet nazis. he has never been afraid to be a nazi before and he has been doing this poo poo as long as spencer has.

When I was a kid Little Caesar's whole deal was you get two pizzas. Always two, for the price of one pizza anywhere else. That's what "Pizza Pizza" was supposed to refer to, I gathered. They came in this big long paper-topped box. Do they still do that?

It was always garbage tier pizza, the kind where the cheese turns clear and peels off in a big floppy layer if it gets cold, but it was just the thing for all-night video game parties with my middle school friends, on the one or two occasions when my parents decided that those should be a thing :3:
