Same reason they pay for Drunky Duck, so when an angry letter comes in complaining about Doonesbury's liberal bias, they can point to Prickly City/Mallard Fillmore and say "we publish cartoons from conservative viewpoints as well."

I'm not sure this excuse holds water any more. How many daily newspapers even run Doonesbury since it became Sundays-only? Is there some even worse liberal strip they now include to assuage the angry letters complaining about Tinsley?

non-sequitur had a whole sunday plot line depicting Dubya as a stupid monkey many years ago, and I recall angry letters to my paper about the strip. He did try a very lovely Calvin & Hobbes sort of thing with a girl and a horse, but he was mostly political.

Big Ben here is a symbol of parliament rather than of the country. And considering the size of their majority the idea of the current scandal taking down the government isn't completely unreasonable - not that that's a bad thing.

I took it more as Weinstein's public denouncement leading to more and more people subsequently being willing to speak up and leading to a chain reaction of calling out abuse in other places where it had been practiced for so long. I don't see it as a condemnation, more as "these are the symbols I know to represent these things".
Maybe could've done with some element of visible sleaze. Draw some cockroaches scurrying in terror now that they've been exposed to the light.

I guess I'm just too fried by human horridness to have considered a portrayal as powerful, rather than condemnable. If it was meant as such, that's on me for being an idiot about it.

The bigger question is, if the birds are the politicians, how is Hillary in two places at once as two species?

Still worth mentioning idiots like McCoy seem to be more critical of a woman with no political power than anyone in the White House.

Why is that more relevant than asking why they would care about the internal struggles of the opposition party?

edit: concerning an election that they lost?

If they knew any more than the sound bites they depend upon these jagoffs might accidentally let slip the one thing worth noting within what seems to be the unhinged scrawlings of someone inching towards the loss of reality.

Bell seems to be the only person posted in here who’s actually touched on this, and even still he’s giving Brazile way more credit than she deserves.
