Hey, since like 90% of you are going to end up in the Subpar League, and I am likely going to be commish of the Subpar League next season: I'm not allowing any owner to manually set park factors (meaning you can't say "this park has 200% more dingers and 50% as many doubles" or whatever). I'm also going to be limiting crazy dimensions on ballparks. I haven't decided what "limiting crazy dimensions" is; I want to still allow a wide array of ballparks without venturing into the "a team's ballpark is their best player by far" territory. But those of you who are thinking of making ridiculously outlandish dimensions for your home fields: do so at your own risk, because I might snap those dimensions to a pre-set ceiling/floor when the time comes for your team to enter my league.

On top of the CSV maker that was linked new people should probably bookmark our database as well https://super-league.ga. Because playing against all time greats the entire time means people may perform different than their real life selfs. On top of that there are some people who just work and some who don't for mystifying reasons. When looking things up try to focus on the later seasons as we had a quality leap after the first few seasons that makes data from those earlier ones a bit suspect. I've got absolutely nothing against trying unusual guys. Sandbagging is one of those things that is a dick move, but it's on the threshold between "not enough of a dick move to actively do anything against" (like, say, drafting somebody purely to spite the one drafting after you) and "enough of a dick move to actually do something about" (like ripping off a new owner for his Babe Ruth) depending on the degree of the players being benched. Tread lightly. Then again, it's not like your feeders have any major "must start" guys except like, George Brett and Mariano Rivera, I guess, so you're gonna have to find something regardless. As an aside, just to show where we're at, according to my notes, the following people still need to put their rosters together: - Faustoan Bargain - CirclMastr - Grinnblade 66% done already - unless somebody else signs up on top.

It's the EC, so do as you like, obviously. But know that Roberto Alomar played a whopping 40 innings of shortstop in his career and it's gonna be a disaster zone trying him there vs. LHP. Vizquel is more than capable of handling the position and will even get on base at a not completely terrible rate. Also you have Placido Polanco who apparently is the greatest fielding third baseman in the history of MLB. I am not sure if that matters.

David Justice doesn't have a great history in the SL but I kinda like him. His contact suffers a little cause he struck out about 90 times a season and hit 20 points under .300, and by 34 he's getting a little old, but you can do worse than trying to see if he can draw walks and hit dingers for you.

Alright, so now we're just waiting for Grinnblade to post a roster. I'm not particularly in a hurry to start the EC, since it goes by quickly, so there's no rush, but just a signal that you're still alive would be good. If anybody else wants to sign up, there would still be time! I would also take this time to point out once more that the Super-League Reference has moved. The new link is http://www.super-league.ga.
