The antibiotics that will soon be ineffective because bacteria keep evolving resistances faster than new drugs get developed?

Welp guess we'd better give pharma companies exemption from all taxes so execs can give themselves $10M bonuses while downsizing R&D.

Fortunately there is still student loan forgiveness!

Which is treated as taxable income and basically means you're just switching owing a company for owing the IRS who can do some much nastier things than have collectors call you.

What a dumb answer the real reason is because US organized labor got wrecked by corporations after WWII and also the US has transitioned over to being a outright oligarchy in which wealth is not shared.

Yes, but let's be real: I'd much rather work out a payment plan with the IRS for an amount that's a fraction of what I used to owe than owe six+ figures to loan companies.

Women in Saudi Arabia have scorned the government's decision to grant citizenship to a female robot who, unlike them, does not need a male guardian or have to cover her head in public.

Social media was abuzz with questions about whether the robot, Sophia, who was unveiled at a technology conference in the capital Riyadh last week, will be treated like other women in the conservative kingdom now that she is a citizen.

"It hit a sore spot that a robot has citizenship and my daughter doesn't," Hadeel Shaikh, a Saudi woman whose four-year-old child with a Lebanese man does not have citizenship.

in capitalism even the robots get more respects and rights than we do

this is what's gonna happen to us in 15 years when the robots take away all our jobs, not fully automated communism

It's more like a Game of Thrones power struggle since lots of royal loving also creates the risk of a coup.

Basically Prince Salman is locking up siblings which he sees as potential rivals to his power.

More store closings have been announced in 2017 than any other year on record.
Since January 1, retailers have announced plans to shutter more than 6,700 stores in the U.S., according to Fung Global Retail & Technology, a retail think tank.
That beats the previous all-time high of 6,163 store closings, which hit in 2008 amid the financial meltdown, according to Credit Suisse (CS).

The way he overstates the horror of the situation so much at the beginning kind of hurts the article. As does the part where he says in addition to getting rid of all the algorithm-created baby nightmares Youtube also needs to get rid of political videos he doesn't like.
