when I was like 6 years old I read a bunch of charlie brown comics, but had no idea how "sigh" was pronounced. I didn't know what the gently caress the characters meant by "sig-uh"

I had a teenage mutant ninja turtle Nintendo game when I was a kid. In the instruction book there was a description of Raphael's "heckuva maneuver". It hit me one day not long ago that it was "heck of a". I thought the heckoova maneuver was some kind of ninja attack.

I had an interesting morning. I suddenly realized that Bernadette Peters was a singing cat on Animaniacs as a subtle nod to her being a singing cat on Broadway. And then after a quick check online to see if that was the intention, I just found out that she was never Grizabella in CATS...which I have believed her to have been for many, many years.
