Maybe we'll get another Guardian revamp. (I'm actually struggling to think of DC street-level heroes outside of Batman family characters.)

And a mess of word balloons and his main weakness of finishing a plot or storyline comes through. But either way, I find it hard to imagine he'd sign with DC if he wasn't promised Batman.

Yeah, jokes aside, even though I haven't liked his recent work, I know he's quite capable of good stuff. Hopefully a company change-up will get those creative juices flowing again and we'll get some good stories again, instead of poo poo like Post-Siege Avengers or Spider-Man

Bleeding Cool has an article speculating that Bendis might write a book with Zatanna. This is based on him saying in 2004 she's the DC character that he wants to write, along with Snyder recently admitting there were plans for her. And then one of the comments in the article: "Oh joy...Bendis speak, but done backwards."

It's hard to think about what kind of creative turn would be best for Bendis at DC. His early career is so different both in terms of subject matter and quality from his later period. I think the question were all asking is if he can ever be early 2000s Bendis again? He's obviously moving at least partially to refresh his work. Sometimes revisiting old glories can help, but sometimes it hurts. If he tries to revisit crime superheroes with Nightwing instead of Daredevil, it might be great, but it might be a horrible disaster. Maybe he's said all he has to say there, and trying to do that again is a dead end. Then again, his team and space stuff wasn't always the best. But who knows? Time to write Aquaman. A lot of this depends on the artists who are going to work with him too. If it's David Finch, which seems quite possible due to their shared history, it'll be trash regardless. I thought that was some sort of Justice Society reference. (I've never seen that film ) Okay so Bendis is a pretty balls writer whose lovely tendencies have magnified tenfold throughout the years instead of getting any better (which to be fair is unfortunately kinda standard for a lot of writers) to the point that those lovely tendencies are all I can envision when I think of his work. buuut I've always said he might be able to do some nice work on a quirkier, more offbeat book like Flash or Titans. Books that don't require a ton of plot cohesion, but just needs a better direction and better character work than they've been getting...I wouldn't be opposed at all to him re-energizing any of DC's current weaker titles with his more creative tendencies. (Now watch him take over Superman from Tomasi)

I see Bendis writing more of a Robin book that Detective Comics. I understand giving him a big title book like Batman or Detective, but I think he will probably want to play with some less popular characters though so he can do his own stories without having to worry about continuity or such. Personally I would like to see him do Firestorm.
