A friend of mine worked in uranium mining in Namibia and suffered an intoxication with radioactive heavy metals. He was flown to Germany in a flying military hospital and got treatment for 4 months. He hasn't paid a single dime past his health insurance.

Although he did spend 12 bucks to buy a crate of beer for the crew of the flying hospital that was on duty when they got him out of there.

E: being a good guy working in a crooked disgusting system doesn't make said system any better. I'm sure all the doctors valor their hyporcratic oath, but inhumanity in health care is not a personal thing to solve, nor to write home about because you personally actually care for the patient and not his wallet. Your boss doesn't. And mine wouldn't either if he wasn't required to.

Also this is all good for star citizen because sick citizens are less likely to ask for refunds.

I mean it's Ben we're talking about here.

Then again, for CIG it's all about the image perceived by the idiots, so yeah, Ben the Developer being banned from doing shows sounds about right.

I love the excuse "asked employees not to do recurring shows", this is the only non CIG, recurring show that a member of CIG staff appears on.

It's unfortunate, because it's such an important show. I mean, it's because of that show we've learned that, umm... let me get back to you on that.

Ever thought your studio or production could be working faster, better, more streamlined or efficiently but don’t have the man-power, experience or R&D team to do anything about it? Well that’s where we come in!

quote:

So this stupid bloody bug is still showing up in Maya, animation reloading in T-pose, all the animCurves still in the scene but Maya failing to reconnect the data on file load.

We've debugged this so many times in the last 10years I've lost count and yet it still pops up. So I've added more in-depth support for the fix methods in the Red9 Studio Pack.

There's now a new UI that opens up, this has 2 base methods.

Method 1: You're running character sets and referencing, Maya has failed to connect the data up BUT left the animCurves connected to the ReferenceNode.

Method 2: Maya has had a full blown gently caress fest and left you with no hint to what data goes where. This method uses the names of the selected objects, and their animatable channels, then looks for all animCurves that may match.

Two flags, StripNamespaces.... does just that, removes the namespaces of the node before doing the curve match (curves are usually in root namespace). StripMergedLayerData, allows for the additional 'Merged_Layer_inputB' naming that animLayers use.

Hopefully that'll save somebodies life, I've had so many emails over these fixes over the last few years it's ridiculous
