Yeah maybe, but repackaging Street Fighter 2 for the fiftieth time was all they had which shows they didn't really devote much in the way of resources to Switch development.

Getting something like NES/SNESflix would be great, but given how incredibly tight Nintendo are about giving away even 30-year-old titles, I wouldn't hold out for them to be too generous.

I think it's worth full price if you find yourself in many social settings with friends and family who wanna jump in for some quick party fun.

If you're like most reviewers and players and assumed that 1-2-Switch was going to have hours of content for you and your super gamer friends, then you're not going to really get anything out of it at ANY price.

Yeah I’m basically looking to entertain my nieces and nephews at a few holiday parties.

I went camping a few weeks ago and it poured rain the whole time. My nephews and I hid in our tent and they played Minecraft on my Switch. They’re 4 and 6 years old but they groked the controls pretty quickly. I’m pretty sure they’ve only ever played on a tablet.

Tbf, Capcom hasn't thrown much resources at any fighting game development they've done in a long time.

I love the idea of Netflix style classic VC games but hate the idea that they're all gonna be the same garbage NES classics we've retread over and over and over (I was absolutely over them back during the game boy advance days)

Mostly the NES is kinda painful to go back to, but anything past that would make me happier

Then again do I really care when I already have that plus waaaay more on my phone, and never actually play them because I'd rather play newer games? Just thinking out loud here I guess

Point is, I'm hoping we see snes or gba or 64, hell anything that isn't NES. But I'm not gonna assume we are until I see it. I'll probably still pay the 20 bucks or whatever for online rocket league, etc

That's kind of insane. Late port, pretty much full price, no dlc, little to no advertising I saw. That's more than the title sold on Steam.

I'd have to imagine that pretty much makes FighterZ a lock. No wonder yesterday they said they were dedicating more resources.

Companies that missed the boat on this system have to feel like idiots.

Ubisoft made 19% of their revenue in a quarter on the Switch and Rabbids, doing better than their PC business.

The Street Fighter game made a bunch of dosh, too.

It seems like a no brainer to port over popular titles asap. Capcom not porting Okami seems even more dumb, in hindsight

Okami I'm sure was in development for some time and would be a non trivial port, but not porting their various NES and Megaman Collections was a real boner.

That's the other thing, I'm going to be extremely picky about VC, unless it's actually remastered in some way to take advantage of the screen.

Hows the Switch performance on Unreal engine relative to PS3/4 anyway? Only wondering because Xrd already couldn't run correctly on the PS3 and DBFZ has a million more things going on at once in it plus new lighting effects. Could be pretty rough to do a port of it depending.

"why are they coming back" because nobody had seen one in centuries before the game started (like how there aren't any dragons in Morrowind or Oblivion)

(except that there's secretly one at the top of High Hrothgar)

(they are coming back because the old dudes who invented Dragonrend could only send the bad dragon into the future with an Elder Scroll rather than actually kill him)
